Nu Wave was wonderful, we booked them for a surprise birthday party and they brought the energy and fun all night. Would 100% recommend!
I have seen this new tribute band a few times now and omg!!!!! They are performing songs that you just do not hear on the local scene!!! So much fun, so much amazing energy!!! I think the best experience I've had so far was seeing people of all ages, races, ethnicity, gender, just come together vibing and singing together. If you have not seen this band play, you're missing out! It's an experience
I have known lead singer Huey for many years and had the pleasure of seeing him perform in several different venues with other projects he has been a part of. NuWave ATL is hands down my favorite of all that he has done. If it is nostalgia you are looking for, than you need to book them or catch a show. They play all of your favorite 80's hits and the best part is they play the ones that other bands don't. They played their first gig at my venue in January 2023 and they brought the house down. I have never seen the crowd so into a cover band, everyone was singing and dancing to every song and just had an all out good time. The entertainment value is unmatched. They are definitely up and coming and I know we will be seeing great things from them in the near future. If you get the chance to catch a show make sure you do!

These guys ROCK, in every sense of the word. They were a blast to be around and played a set list right out of my childhood. Really next level vocals and music that feels so familiar. Can’t wait to see them again. Thanks Nü Wave!
I’m a zillenial, a 23 year old trapped in two generations, growing up to ALL of Nu Wave’s songs. Nu Wave really puts on a show with the lights, their outfits, the music. They are interactive with the crowd and care so much about you enjoying their show just as much as they enjoy performing for you!
Nü Wave ATL is probably my favorite band in the Atlanta area. We always try to go to all their gigs. Why? Every song they play takes us back! Duran Duran, David Bowie, The Cure, Billy Idol, Prince and so much more. It’s a night of constant dancing and singing. The musicians are all quality performers…..so talented. Huey, the lead singer, really connects with the audience. Even my 21 year old said it was an awesome night…. she’s an 80s music fan. They always perform for St. Patty’s Day. We’ve seen them for about 4-5 years straight. Great energy! Fantastic song choices! Super nostalgic. Great band to go out as a group with friends and just dance all night.
My friends and I heard about this amazing New Wave band that was playing at 278 South and we all planned a Girls Night Out! We had the BEST time! They played everything from The Cure to INXS to Prince to Duran Duran—all early to mid 80’s stuff. The place was packed—a few people I knew couldn’t even get in since it became so crowded! We loved every minute and can’t wait to see them again! Great band!!
NuWave ATL literally rocked the place for during a performance the evening of a St. Patrick’s Day event. Nostalgia was definitely in the air, as the band hammered through several classic early New Wave and Pop songs from the MTV era. The place was packed and everyone in attendance enjoyed the show.
