Overview
The band's hard-hitting Priest/Maiden style might have been but one in a sea similarly styled bands of the mid-80's (Fates Warning, Attack, Liege Lord, Malice, etc.) yet it's the enduring lure of tracks like "Death Rider," Dragon's Breath" and the incomparable "Last Rites" that ensure Omen's place in the halls of infamy. Raw yet possessing a majestic sheen, extremely catchy riffs dominate Omen's classy sound; you'd swear the band was European. BATTLE CRY, as well as WARNING OF DANGER and THE CURSE, are indispensible in the traditional metal realm.
