James was great to work with. He worked with our live musicians and played great music throughout the evening that kept the party going. He was great at communicating with us and listened to our needs and requests. We had several guests tell us they thought he was great. Overall we highly recommend hiring him for your special day.

When my wife and I were looking for DJ’s for our wedding we found DJ James, I knew right away after watching his video clip he was the one for us. We started the hiring process and had our first over the phone meeting just talking to him made me like him even more. On wedding day he arrived on time and was extremely professional throughout the event, he always made sure everything was going exactly as we wanted and it absolutely did! He is super nice and awesome to meet in person. He is laid back and low key which is exactly what we were looking for in our wedding, he did everything exactly how we wanted. We highly recommend DJ James for your wedding or event!!!

I loved my experience working with DJ James! He was extremely flexible, accommodating when we had to move our wedding date due to the pandemic, kind, and great at listening. He was extremely attentive to my desires when it came to music at the event and emceeing. He put a mic on my groom and it was perfect to pick up the audio of our vows. He was also very considerate regarding covid guidelines. I felt very safe having James as a DJ at our event. I think DJ James is a great DJ and a great person. I highly recommend him.

DJ James was professional, punctual, and accommodating! He helped us a a much need fun experience as we danced to a personal playlist. He added his own flare, and helped keep the party going.

Let me first start by saying- I am pretty particular with my music in general. I have music ADD, can't stand when there's a bad song playing, and am primarily a Motown/Oldies kind of girl. So when I got engaged, the first thing I did was create my playlist. Yes- I am serious. I didn't start looking at dresses or venues right away- I mapped out what songs I wanted for the WHOLE. DAY. From the moment guests arrived, to the ceremony, to the cocktail party, to the dinner, to the dancing. I was kind of OCD about it, with multiple versions of Excel spreadsheets :) So, when it came down to meeting with/talking to my DJ, I was actually quite scared. I didn't want to offend them, or make them feel like I didn't trust them. The moment my fiancé and I talked to James, I felt so much better. He gave us a sheet to fill out, to get to know us better which I found to be a nice touch, and made our connection more personal from the get-go. He was all for my list too, and really made me feel like it was my day and I should be happy/shouldn't stress. I felt 100% confident in James, and was able to hand him my list and seriously not stress about the music anymore. James did warn me that if the crowd wasn't feeling' my list, he might have to stray and play some of his own songs (he never had to, but even if he did I would feel confident that he had good taste and could keep the crowd alive!) Throughout the night, James really kept the flow going. We had a lot of Motown and oldies, but he also threw in some younger generation music and slow songs to give the crowd a moment to breath. He was also a great MC. He has a really warm presence, and isn't too obnoxious/in-your-face like most wedding DJs can be! He is also SO SWEET! I would 100% choose James again in a heartbeat. He really made our wedding so fun and the dancing time seamless.

James did a great job for our private event. He played hits that everyone enjoyed and had great music for the intermission. I would definitely hire him again.

James is the best! He exceeded all of my expectations for my special day. He is very kind and patient. He had a bunch of great ideas that I would never have thought of. He goes over every detail to ensure everything is covered. I highly recommend DJ James!

We just had our wedding and we hired DJ James for the reception. He was professional, timely, knows and understands weddings well, was very kind and a lot of fun! He spent a lot of time getting to know Erik and I, so that he could create the type of reception we wanted. He did a great job getting the guests involved at the reception. We highly recommend him and would hire him again.

DJ James surpassed all expectations that we had for our wedding DJ. Our wedding venue has James as their DJ, and once we booked, James sent a small questionnaire for us to fill out. We had a follow up phone conversation with James to solidify our song choices and he made sure that he he asked all the right questions about how we wanted our reception to go. He also offered suggestions to songs when we were having a hard time picking certain songs for the wedding. James was amazing! Both in the songs that he played and way he kept the evening moving...I don’t think there was ever a time that there weren’t guests on the dance floor! We are so glad to have had him as our wedding DJ, and any future events that we need a DJ for, we will For Sure use James!
