During a very difficult time in my life last year, I reached out to Ray of On Set Media with an unusual request. Before my Mom passed away of a very rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma, she had asked that her cremated remains be mixed with cement in order to create an artificial reef formation, known as a reef ball. I thought that this was a beautiful way to continue her legacy and I wanted to be sure to capture this unique experience on film so that our family would have a memorial keepsake that we could pass down through the generations. Eternal Reefs, the company that would fulfill my Mom's request had set aside a few days for our family to cast, place and dedicate her reef ball off of the coast of Miami, Florida. However, I am from Connecticut and I was not familiar with any production company in the Miami area. So I decided to seek out a videographer on Gig Salad in hopes that I would be able to find someone to record this very special event on such short notice. This is where I had the pleasure of connecting with Ray from On Set Media. He was very personable and offered his condolences for our loss before any business was discussed. After telling him about this unique three day memorial event that would include the casting, placement and dedication of my Mom's reef ball, he told me that it would be an honor to share and record this with our family. Ray's rate was more than fair and as I would later find out, On Set Media's work was absolutely amazing and worth every cent! During the 3 days that we were together, On Set Media was professional, respectful and compassionate as they watched our family experience many different emotions throughout a time that was very difficult and almost surreal for us. I would highly recommend On Set Media for any of your production needs. They created a keepsake DVD for our family that truly captured my Mom's spirit and our family's immense love for her. We laugh, we cry, and we are filled with love and pride when we watch On Set Media's beautifully created video for our family. We can't thank them enough for giving us a truly special gift.
We needed a videographer for a funeral with one day notice and On Set Media was great - they got back to us promptly and stayed in touch as we set everything up. They were very professional and discrete on the day of, and did a very nice job.
