With a myriad orchestral, operatic, and theatre experiences, I contribute a wide array of nuances to various genres of instrumental and vocal music. My repertoire ranges from the Baroque period to modern musical theatre with which gives me the skill to offer you genuine and professional performances for your various occasions. Malcolm Payne Jr. is a recent graduate from the University of North Texas. Some of his favorite vocal performances include Sounds of Summertime with Fort Worth Opera, John Proctor in The Crucible at Berlin Opera Academy, Jim in Porgy and Bess at Fort Worth Opera, and Papageno in The Magic Flute at Central Florida Lyric Opera. Before the pandemic, Payne toured with The Dallas Opera's Educational Outreach Program as a teaching artist for five years. Previous flute engagements include Principal Flute/Piccolo with the Mansfield Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal Flute for the University of North Texas Symphonic Band, and Soloist with the University of North Texas Opera.
Malcolm is comfortable performing unaccompanied, with piano, backing tracks, and live bands or orchestras.
