The music was good; however the lead singer came late. Which I thought was a little unprofessional. Also, we had a situation with the band leader not knowing the procedures for payment as it pertains to GIg Salad. My recognition is pay on the platform( Gig Salad) and you are safe. I paid Gig Salad on July 3rd for this event, but the group had no knowledge on how they were to get compensated....interesting. Our company is a childcare business and we need record keeping for all expenses. That's why I like Gig Salad, so I don't have to be concerned about payment at the time of the event.

We had a mid-day, corporate employee event on our campus and were thrilled to have Home Cookin perform. They were 100% professional as well as very talented and entertaining. They graciously accommodated our requests for specific songs and worked so closely with our event facilitator as if they had worked together before. Many employees commented on how much they enjoyed the performance. Home Cookin kept their energy up and kept our feet moving on the dance floor.

We used Home Cookin for our recent engagement party and were not disappointed!! They learned our requested music and sounded amazing. We had a twilight 2pm-7pm event and some people say the overall mood can be more low key for day events - but that was not the case at all with Home Cookin. Otis Davis was great to work with. I was able to hold my date and leave a deposit after hearing the band at Sweet Auburn Seafood. Of course after hearing them, we requseted them for our party. We liked the flexibility! My guests had nothing but great things to say about our band choice! Highly recommend Otis Davis and Home Cookin!!

Otis Davis & Home Cookin is Amazing!!! They made the wedding!! We had so much fun and our guests didn't want to leave. Nobody wanted the night to end. The entire dance floor was packed the whole night including the very last song. We loved them and everything about them. Quality, professionalism and ability to do whatever we needed or wanted. Home Cookin handle the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour as well as the reception. When my sister gets married you can be sure we will be calling Home Cookin!!!

From smooth jazz sounds to funky R&B beat, Otis Davis & Home Cookin serve up delectable fare for your discerning musical pallette.
Otis C. Davis started playing the piano at the age of three years old, trumpeting his remarkable career in music. He picked up a guitar at the age of twenty and hasn't looked back since. After being accepted into the Howard University School of Music at twenty-three, he recorded an album with the Jazz Ensemble. He also won a grant for the National Endowment of the Arts for being an up and coming new jazz artist.
After graduating from Howard, Davis knew he had to go where the city never slept and decided to go to New York City. It was there that he found out what he was made of and cut his professional teeth both in the city and on the road with the likes of Dennis Edwards, Isaac Hayes, Stephanie Mills, Lionel Hampton, Richard Davis (University of Pittsburgh), John Patton (organist for John Coltrane) and Whitney Houston.
After leaving New York, Davis went South to play Jazz as well as Rhythm & Blues in the midst of beach music country with huge success. He also had the opportunity to play with Jazz greats Jimmy McGriff and Hank Crawford. He then moved to Atlanta where he toured with the Drifters for 10 years.
Davis has again formed another fabulous ensemble of his own with which he tours. This time his band is known as Otis Davis and Home Cookin' featuring Denise Kirkland.
