Ozark Mountain Pan Groove is a husband and wife steel drum duo, made up of Scott and Yvonne Reddoch. The two started playing steel drums together in 1990 for the winter tourists of South Texas. Scott and Yvonne purchased a home and moved to Eureka Springs, AR in 2017 and call Eureka Springs " Our happy place."
Members of the band have performed for audiences in North America, Central America, The West Indies and the Caribbean. The band plays a variety of music: Current Pop, Jazz, Reggae, Calypso, Soca and Latin, as well as the "All time greatest hits" of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. The band performs at a variety of events from concerts to private parties, wedding receptions, bars/clubs and City and Civic functions.
Yvonne Barrera Reddoch has a music education degree at The University of Texas at Arlington and holds a level III Orff-Schulwerk certification. During her music education career, in North and South Texas, she was a high school band director, woodwind teacher, colorguard director and spent most of her career as an elementary music teacher.
Scott Reddoch has a music education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and furthered his education at the University of North Texas where he studied a Masters of Music in Percussion Performance. He spent his music career teaching High School and College in Mississippi and in North and South Texas. During that time he served as Percussion instructor, Jazz Band director and Marching & Concert Band Director. Scott began performing professionally at age 16 on drum set in a 1970's Rock and Roll band and has performed with a variety of musical groups from Rock, Country, Steel Band and Jazz to Orchestral. In 1991 he performed at Panorama with the famous Witco Desperadoes Steel Band, in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago when they won the national title playing Musical Volcano by Robert Greenidge ( with the Jimmy Buffet Band)
We must be out of the sun. Steel Drums can not get hot while playing them or they will go out of tune. We will need Electricity. We can perform without electricity but we must be aware of that before booking the gig. Space require is approximately 8'
