Paloma is a seasoned performer who has used her skill to add that something "special" to art events, parties, and concerts. If you are looking for a performer to add that special flair, and sparkle to your event-look no further.
She is well trained in Tribal Fusion style belly dance, American Cabaret style, and Egyptian style. She is trained in sword dance (double and single), shamadan, veil, and wings.
She arrived on time with a great attitude. I ended up throwing her a lot of curveballs. The night wasn't going well. But she handled all of them with a smile-and still pulled off an awesome performance!

I can provide many styles; as well as aesthetic moods. I am well versed in various props. I love to create custom sets for different events. I typically arrive 20-30 minutes before the performance is to begin to locate the person in charge-as well as my secure changing area.
Paloma Skye is presently a professional belly dancer working throughout the Northwest. She also creates one of a kind pieces for her costume design house, Hydra Tears. Her work ethic, and endless devotion to her craft allows her to keep up a performance and work schedule with attention to detail, and finesse.
In 2001 she began her dance journey beginning formal lessons with Kendra Searls. Other teachers of note include Cindy Moon Bear, A’isha Azar, Arika Whiteaker, and Nefabit Miew. Her workshop experience include notables such as Violet Scrap, Zoe Jakes, Rachel Brice, Sabah, Petite Jamillah, Sherri Wheatley, NagaSita, Bevin Victoria, Maureen, Tempest, DaVid of Scandinavia, Katrina McCoy, Yasmin Edwards, and Troupe Hipnotica.
Paloma is a featured house dancer at local restaurants. She performs frequently with steampunk band Abney Park. She does a wide variety of events.
She also founded successful tribal fusion dance company, Koreshakti Tribal Fusion. Needing more time for design, and her solo work though, she dissolved it. She always values the lessons she received from troupe management-and looks forward to doing it again. There are plans for a new company in 2016.
Please note that I do have several tattoos. None of these are offensive in any way. However I feel it is fair to inform clients. I do also have costuming though that conceals this if required. I also require a safe performance surface and area. I also require a safe and secure location to change; and store my items during the performance. I also require a sound system to play my music-as well as a person to start my music.
This varies a great deal dependent upon the situation-and specific requests of the client. I prefer to work with the client to arrange this. A typical set is roughly 15-20 minutes. I can do one; or numerous sets during an event. Often the beginning is a very upbeat, or very mysterious. The second piece is usually a classic musical number. The third is usually a prop of some variety. And the finale is often a drum solo; or another upbeat piece.
I am inspired by a great number of dancers worldwide; as well as many other forms of art. I study frequently to challenge and improve my skill level; and keep abreast of what is current in my genre of dance. I hesitate to state specific individuals I specifically admire-since I don't want to create a false expectation that I will perform like them. I have video examples of my work though.
