Master of the pivot!
From banker to fitness entrepreneur to PR professional, I've navigated the highs and lows of the non-linear life.
Want to know how I did it? Let's talk about networking for growth.
Pam was tasked to get a group of community members motivated to lose weight for the next 12 weeks for our 'Just Lose It' program, and she did just that! Everyone loved her and she was very easy to work with.
Response from Pamela Hernandez:
Thank you! Your group was so fun and eager. It was a great experience!
Pamela Hernandez was a featured speaker at the American Heart Association's 2014 Go Red For Women Luncheon in Springfield, MO, where she introduced 10 local women she had personally coached through a 12-week heart-healthy makeover. Pamela's personal training with each of the ladies and her presentation about their individual successes over the 12 weeks were exceptional. Pamela demonstrates a unique ability to share important health, nutrition and fitness information with an audience in a way that all people can easily understand. Her presentation is informative, entertaining, motivating and inspiring!
Response from Pamela Hernandez:
Thank you Stephen! I love AHA, BetterU and everyone involved.

I will inspire, educate and empower! I love to take questions and have audience participation.
My current paid role is Regional Director for BBB - Springfield. Think of me as the current Brand Ambassador for BBB in southwest Missouri. I give presentations to community groups on how to avoid scams and to businesses on how BBB can help them. I regularly pitch media and do interviews on television, radio and podcasts. I do this without a communications or journalism degree.
I learned how to be a PR expert when I had my own personal training business for over a decade. When you are a one woman show, you learn how to do your own marketing very quickly. And how to build a network.
I always tell people that planning is my superpower but what I don't often share is that networking is my secret weapon. I have a signature talk called Networking for Growth that can give you my simple plan for networking that is highly effective without feeling icky.
I have spoken to a variety of audiences including:
Ollis/Akers/Arney
American Heart Association
Rosie (Leadership Springfield)
SCORE E3 Women's Conference
Hamra Enterprises
Girl Scouts of America
Association of Women in Communications
Volt Credit Union
My set up is simple. A set up for my slides and a microphone is all I need.

My style is part Suze Orman, part Dorie Clark and part Marie Forleo. Keep it simple and the basics are the basics for a reason.
