Professional female DJ, specializing in various genres of music - love to play disco, new wave, 80s hits, contemporary pop and top 40, world boogie, house music. All the good stuff to get you to groove and move! Can do an all vinyl DJ set for the right occasion, have my own vinyl equipment set up if needed. A digital DJ controller and laptop set up also available.

Irena was phenomenal to work with and kept the party going. Worked with us before the event on the playlist and curated a great vibe throughout the evening. She spun vinyl in addition to doing a computer dj set which was really unique. And she was able to help us last minute set up amplified sound for the ceremony. 10/10 would recommend Parallel Attractions for your next event!

To those who set up events... you know it's always nerve-racking to hire entertainment, especially if you've never worked with them before. DJ Irena was so wonderful and self-sufficient, it was so refreshing! We decided last-minute to hire a DJ for our event and DJ Irena was flexible enough to accommodate our last-minute request and bring everything that was needed. She was so easy to communicate with and took the light direction we gave her for music choices and she absolutely nailed it! We would love to work with her again and we hope we do!

DJ Irena kept the energy high and played all the right tunes! She had a tough job with the age ranges 20-70 years old but managed to mix it up and keep everyone dancing and singing along! Highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!

I am one of the most active DJs in the scene in LA, constantly getting booked and re-booked for various gigs at bars and venues and have at least 5 ongoing monthly residencies at one time - there’s a reason why! When booking with me, you can expect a professional and clean early set up and a positive experience with the best and cooperative attitude along with great mixing and song selections. I’ve been doing this for over a decade and I still feel as passionate about my purpose as I was on day one. I know how to get the party started and when to keep it chill, along with how to connect with others via music. I can dig deep and will bring you the kinds of tunes you didn’t even know you wanted to hear. With a background in customer service, I aim to please - do tell me about your music tastes and interests and let’s work together to make this an unforgettable event for you!

Originally from Brooklyn NYC, Irena (aka Parallel Attractions) has been spinning records professionally at various venues and bars on the East Coast and now West Coast for over 12 years. She plays everything on vinyl - from popular 80s hits, to deep cuts to obscure new wave synth tracks to dreamy retro dance remixes and contemporary electronic music singles.
You can catch Irena at her multiple monthly residencies at local bars all over Los Angeles and Long Beach. She has also played sponsored events for brands such as Dr. Martens, The Broad Museum, Dash Radio and Lomography. Her set is all about a fun time and getting people engaged, grooving and dancing.
