My name is Sean Mawhirter (DJ Steddy). My love of music began well over 20 years ago and is still an all-consuming habit today. It was a background in performance that led to my interest in deejaying. Now, after 17 years in the business, I can safely say I have no regrets in continuing to be apart so many great moments.
While it may be an advantage to be informed about the making of song, I recognize that it is the customer who is in charge and knows what is appropriate for the party at hand. The skill set of a DJ comes from not only playing what the audience craves, emceeing the crowd through the evening, but also collaborating with the person(s) in charge.
Sean did an awesome job! Kept the floor with dancers moving!
Thank you Sean!
Response from Party of a Lifetime Deejay Service:
Thanks for the kind words Rey! It was an honor to work for you and your family. All the best!
Sean was our DJ and did a wonderful job. He seemed well-prepared and kept the night humming along. My guests have a bunch of different tastes but he managed to get to all their requests. Thanks Sean!

POAL is a true wedding specialist, experienced with all types of wedding celebrations and protocols. Weddings are my passion and make up over 95% of the business booked through POAL. The only other types of events I do are high-end corporate functions and adult social functions (rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, retirements), which typically require a similarly elegant approach and attention to detail.
My presentation is polished and understated, marked by artistic mixing and a professional “cheese-free” approach to announcements and microphone work. Many DJs think that it is their job to put on a show and be the center of attention at the reception. I firmly believe that your wedding is your show, and I have no interest in taking the spotlight from you. I will not tell stories, make jokes, or plug my company on the microphone.

Whether it be a wedding, club date, convention, or formal reception, I am eager to be a part of this important day ahead. Feel free to call or write anytime to set up a no-strings consultation so that we may better understand the needs of your event.
I use Bose speakers that offer plenty of punch with awesome clarity at the same time. People can approach me at the table with requests and not worry about having their ears blown out!
Of course, lighting is included as well. I use Chauvet primarily but also offer special effects like fog machine, strobe light, disco ball, and karaoke monitor.
POAL owns an enormous library of music in all formats, including international music. I update our collection constantly, ensuring that we are able to provide the songs that our clients and their guests are currently enjoying. Furthermore, I work closely with our clients in selecting the music for their event, and will gladly acquire any commercially available song that we don’t already own, at no additional cost. Because of this, I can virtually guarantee that I will be able to accommodate any request.
