Patrick Behnke is a violist, composer, and improviser. Currently living near Los Angeles, Patrick performs on the viola, electronics, and voice as a member of the Apt Heavens duo, the Matsumoto/Behnke duo, the electroacoustic ensemble Ice Water Tea, and the trio In Transit. Patrick has also been active as a founding member of the new music ensemble the Desert Quill Quartet. His compositions have been performed by the Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles (C3LA), the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, and ensembles in which he takes part. Patrick’s musical involvement includes a wide range of styles and interests.
