Communication leading up to the event was always timely, they arrived when they stated they would arrive. Their performance received so many compliments, they performed songs for the age group in the audience (oldies) and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you again for being a huge contribution to the success of our event.

We hosted a corporate event in our design showroom for guests to sip wine, relax and listen to great music, which is exactly what they did. Paul and Janelle were quick to respond, reasonably priced, on time and brought their own equipment, and most of all, guests were dancing and singing along with them. I absolutely loved that they provided me with an extensive list of cover songs to choose from. They got the party started for sure. We will definitely be hiring them again!

Paula and Janelle were wonderful! They played all the music we selected from their set list plus learned two special requests from my 90 Year old brother. It was his birthday! So easy to work with and so gracious! Everyone enjoyed their performance. Janelle sounds a lot like Stevie Nicks, but better! I would highly recommend them. They made the party!

I will gladly post that every song they sang was recognized by everyone at our event and were performed well. In fact, several of their songs I heard comments that Paul and Janelle's version was better than the version originally recorded. We will definitely have them back.

We booked Paul and Janelle to play during a small event at our house. They were awesome! All the guests raved about how good they both were ☺️ We will absolutely be booking them again!

Can't say enough about Paul & Janelle!! I had a specific request for Disney themed music and they accommodated it. They brought a really cool vibe to my company event that set the tone for the day. I highly recommend them and they are great to work with. Definitely check them out if you want some great acoustic music.

Paul and Janelle provided fabulous acoustic performance on the Orchard Lawn for our daughter's welcome dinner (Friday night) for 240 guests! Their music is excellent. We highly recommend them for any event!

We hired Paul and Janelle for our wedding and they were one of the loveliest vendors to work with. From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive, accommodating and wanted to make sure we'd love the music at our wedding. We had them play at our reception and they were a huge hit! In fact, many of our guests were asking for their cards for their next event. They learned a number of songs for us (including the Horah since it was a Jewish wedding) and absolutely killed every single one of them. They complement each other so well and are unbelievably talented. My only regret is that I couldn't sit back and enjoy them for a few hours since it was our own wedding. They are all around lovely, wonderful people and I wouldn't even think twice about hiring them!!

I hired Janelle and Paul for my wedding, they were so professional and kind and super easy (enjoyable?!?) to work with. Not only did they hold my date for 2 years (COVID bride) they even Learned several new songs I requested! They did a cover of sade by your side (please add this to your playlist Paul and Janelle it was gorg!!!) and leather and lace. They had an upbeat tempo mixed with romantic energy. Perfect for a wedding. I would recco them for any big event! Our guests loved them.

Paul & Janelle were absolutely awesome for our anniversary party this weekend. My wife & I were so happy we hired them! Our guests enjoyed their voices, music, song selection and overall performance. They asked for a new song to learn and totally nailed the performance with their style!

I book entertainment 10 months of the year and I have to say they were probably one of my favorites. Talent is when you can just stand there with your instruments your voice and guitar and mesmerize a room. The song choice blew everyone away. The passion of their voices made us really feel the lyrics. I saw tears in some eyes as well as others who told me. We will definitely have them back again. We had a great experience with these two. They were very timely, accommodating and professional. From the way they were dressed to their demeanor with the crowd and our venue were all incredible. They're also incredibly talented and even threw in a few songs that we requested but were not a part of their catalogue of songs. Would easily use them again and highly recommend them for any friends or family with events.

Janelle & Paul were a great choice for the entertainment at our 4th of July block party. They sounded wonderful, had a nice stage presence, and were totally professional. They have a very fresh style and played a great eclectic variety of songs. They really upped the production value of our event!

Paul & Janelle performed at our luncheon, with about 75 guests in attendance. They were the perfect fit for our event. Just the right type of music to be enjoyed, with guests still able to have conversation with each other at the table. They arrived well ahead of their scheduled time, were prepared and set up in advance. Both were very personable and professional. Everyone enjoyed their presence. They put an exclamation mark on our luncheon!

For some occasions they could be good, but not for our party of young people. People started to get bored and made gestures that they were leaving, we had to go back to the DJ quickly. Sweet, but not lively enough for our crowd.

I booked Paul and Janelle (Folk Duo) for my company Christmas dinner. They we so kind and professional. Their performances were flawless. We played a "Hot Potato" game and a "Christmas Carol Chaos" game that they so generously participated in executing. They were such a delight. I will definitely consider using them again. Book them! We have a yearly family Christmas party that centers around our 98 year old grandmother. This year we wanted to surprise her with something special. Paul & Janelle exceeded our expectations! The smile on grandmas face brought a tear to everyone's eyes. This was a Christmas that will be always treasured. Paul & Janelle fit right in with our family, they were so warm & personable. Such a great couple!

We hired the Folk Duo Band with the violin to perform at our wedding for ceremony and cocktail. They did such a fantastic job and were so accommodating with our music requests. Paul was really helpful and quick to response to any of my questions. They also performed All of me for our first dance they really made our dance so much sweeter. I definitely recommend hiring them for any event especially your wedding because they add that magical touch.

My company hired them for a corporate event and they were just what we were looking for! The band arrived on time and set up was easy. SUPER friendly and just overall kind people. Will definitely be hiring again if we are ever in need of a great band in CA!

I came across Folk Duo on GigSalad while looking for a band to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding. I was really looking for both female and male vocalists and someone who could cover a few of my song choices. As soon as I got in contact with Paul (male vocalist) I knew they were a perfect choice. From the very beginning Paul was super accomodating and replied to all of my emails within a day. He gave me a list of songs that they could perform but was also more than willing to learn my three favorites that I wanted for my bridal party and myself to walk down the aisle to. Paul also recommended that we add a violinist and I am so grateful that he did because it was amazing and added the perfect romantic touch. He also gave me video recordings of the songs that I wanted as previews a few months before the big day so that I felt at ease. Paul and Janelle did not disappoint on the day, they sounded absolutely amazing during our outdoor ceremony at The Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach. They were so easy to work with and made that day absolutely perfect for us. I can't thank them enough and would definitely use them for our next event!

My wife hired them for a surprise birthday party she was throwing for me. These two were amazing! My wife told them my favorite song was "The New" by Interpol and would love for them to play it. They didn't know the song so they took the time to find it and learn how to play/sing it...so cool! When Paul began playing the opening chords of the song, I was like "Damn, he nailed it!" I was super impressed. Paul and Janelle were also both as nice as can be and got along with all of the guests at the party. I would highly recommend them and I'm sure we'll be hiring them again in the future...thanks Paul and Janelle!!

I can't thank Paul & Tarah enough for playing and singing at our wedding. They did an exceptional job playing music during the pre-ceremony as guests arrived, playing and singing during the ceremony and then also at the cocktail reception. I pretty much left the song choices up to Paul. I wouldn't have been able to pick better myself. They were definitely a highlight and guests raved out them. They truly helped make our day super special for us. They are both very talented, professional and all around nice people. I highly recommend them.

We just hired Paul and Janelle for our holiday party last week. We couldn't be happier with their entertainment. Paul is such a gifted musician and he and Janelle sing beautifully. Paul & Jenelle were great. They are extremely talented with beautiful voices and acoustics. My guests truly enjoyed the duo. They are both professional and easy to communicate with. I was concerned about their arrival due to fires going on, but they were prepared and arrived early to our venue. I would definitely recommend them.

We hired Paul and Tarah to play for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dances for our wedding this past June. I could not have been more happy with the music that night, in part because of The Fair Wells' amazing sound. Having a live group perform during the more-intimate moments, definitely helped tie the wedding together, and made the evening more memorable. Their renditions of the songs we chose for our first dances, were amazing, and just what I had hoped for. Super friendly, professional, and the music itself was just beautiful. They were also super flexible and stayed a little longer when our event went overtime.
