Jake is a passionate experience provider. After many years in the corporate world facilitating engaging training classes for new team members he found himself working with Walmart leading a learning and development team. He now had an opportunity to impact the experience of even more people as the joined hands with Walmart. Prioritizing the "experience" his team offered their customers, Jake managed to help many individuals find love with the mission of making sure customers receive exceptional service.
Rewind a few years and you'll find Jake sitting with his wife in a doctor's office learning that their chances of naturally conceiving a child was 0%. This was a hard message for them to hear after working on building their family for many years. They chose adoption. They saved a lot of money to pay for expensive adoption costs, waited many months (18+), and heard many questions about having kids, being a mother, and all of the above that made them feel undervalued and insignificant. They felt like they didn't matter. It wasn't until Jake's newborn son grabbed his finger with his tiny hand for the first time and gazed up at him with his pretty brown eyes that he realized, he did matter.
Jake eventually left Walmart and created, Be Super University. With a mission of making sure people know and feel they matter, he has focused his attention on helping organizations create an exceptional people experience for their team members from the start of the recruitment process to their final day on the floor of the business. Jake figured out that HR, Training, and Leadership all play a part in creating that "exceptional" people experience and now speaks with companies near or far, face to face or virtual, doing well or struggling to help enhance their teams.
Nothing can replace the authentic, sincere relationships your teams will create that bind an individual's commitment to your organization and mission.
