When I walk into an event, you'll know it, standing at 6' 2" (with boots on) I make it clear that I'm there with the sound of my boot bells and a hearty HO,HO,HO as I draw nearer. I show up with a real full all natural white beard, rosy cheeks and nose, blue eyes, gold rimmed glasses, a full traditional/classic styled Santa suit, with a real leather belt adorned with custom embossing and a solid brass buckle, real leather boots trimmed with long haired fur cuffs, white gloves, and a long haired fur trimmed hat. Most of the time I carry a matching Santa sack that can be loaded before-hand with gifts (provided by the host) to be handed out as if to come from Santa and the Elves themselves. Upon request, I will bring "T'was The Night Before Christmas" to read to the children.
I am ready for the children's questions, whatever they may be, and am very caring towards all children. I've been known to dance with children when asked, and I always try to make each child feel as if they are the center of attention. I take the celebrity of being Santa Claus very seriously and will never break character. As long as I'm at an event, for all means and purposes, I AM SANTA CLAUS.
Born and raised in Georgia in the United States just as the 70's was starting. I grew up with all of the traditions a child can imagine, and had the best childhood, thanks to parents who cared to make sure I had everything I needed. I always had 3 favorite times of year, My birthday, Halloween, and most of all...Christmas!
When I had kids, I wanted to make sure they had the same fun time at Christmas I always had, so I took it a step farther and started dressing as Santa after they went to sleep on Christmas Eve, and my wife recorded me putting out their gifts in full Santa get-up, so we could prove he came to our house. That went on for quite a few years. Fast Forward to years later. Ever since I turned the ripe young age of 40, I was starting to turn gray in my facial hair. I didn't want to own it yet, so I would dye it every other week to keep it dark. When I reached 50, that was when I finally gave in and stopped dyeing it dark. It came in mostly White. I kept it as a goatee as I had always done since my mid 20's. One week I decided to grow out a short beard to see how it looked. People called me Santa just because it was completely white by then. It was still short, though.
It wasn't until I saw an ad for a Santa online, that I came across accidentally, that I said to my wife, "I think I'd like to be Santa Claus." It looked like a fun thing to do. 2022 was my first season as Santa, and it went over very well. I only did a handful of jobs that year, but it garnered enough attention, that I was able to do five times as many jobs the following year and now I have a 5 star rating online. I'm looking forward to many more events, and hopefully you're one of the one's I'll get to meet this year.
I'm not one to tell a photographer how to do their job, although I do ask that the photographer please help me look my best and let me know, as we go through child after child being photographed, if my belt buckle isn't centered or if my hat is too high or low. I just want every person to have the best photo available of their child's visit with Santa Claus.
Excessive light aimed right at my eyes can cause squinting and not being able to see the children, so please make sure lights are not too bright and aimed directly in my or the child's eyes.
If I am to sit on a specific chair, bench or couch, please make sure it is not a makeshift, rickety structure and can support me and a couple of children.

I don't bill myself as a singer, although I will sing any Christmas song a child wants to sing with me.
I've even sing Happy Birthday to children as Santa, when prompted.
Mostly watching Santa Claus in the movies, with Tim Allen being a major part of that. My love of all things Christmas has helped me to spread those feelings to the children that recognize me, not only in my suit, but even in my regular everyday clothes when I'm just doing usual errands out in public.
If a child recognizes me as Santa outside of my suit, no matter what time of year it is, they'll always be presented with a greeting from Santa Claus and a conversation for as long as they want. I keep gold metal coins on me just for those occasions that say "I MET SANTA. I MADE THE NICE LIST. BELIEVE" that I give to them as well.
A sturdy place to sit and visit with the children
