I have created an organization in under a year to honor an American Hero. Bob Feller was an American Patriot who happened to play our pastime...baseball. I wrote a children's book in which Tom Seaver, Cal Ripken and Bob Feller were all involved.
When Bob Feller died a few years ago I wanted to find a way to honor him. So I created the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award. The first Award that crossed over MLB and the United States Navy.
The inaugural award included Yogi Berra, Justin. Verlander, as well as the senator from Ohio a 4 star Admiral, the Secretary of the Navy and former Secretary of the Navy.
I know it sounds surreal and it took a ton of work and a tremendous amount of luck.
