In 2012, I was searching for a career opportunity that would allow her to set her own hours, as well as draw upon her diverse customer service skill set. When circumstances required her to take guardianship of a grandchild, the need became even greater. Research and Interstate 22 led her to Atlanta Photo Booth Company, a husband-and-wife team that designs, builds, and markets custom photo booths. Cathy made the fourteen-hour round-trip and returned home (in a driving rain storm) with her first photo booth strapped to the roof of a station wagon. She taught herself the software, camera, and printer systems, and three weeks later, had secured her first gig. Seven years later, her company, Phancy Photo Booth, is the number-one ranked photo booth company in the greater Memphis/Mid-South area, and operates five state-of-the-art booth setups, along with her latest acquisition: a remote-controlled robot digital photo booth and data collector. Cathy has also expanded the business to include rental of lawn games, including Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, and customizable Cornhole boards. Cathy diligently invests time, money, and research into assuring that Phancy Photo Booth uses cutting-edge technology and equipment to provide clients with a superior experience, every time.
