As a solo guitarist/vocalist I focus on playing popular songs that people know and love, drawing from the 1950's through the 2000's. My set lists are made up from a variety of genres that are all arranged to blend together. Having performed hundreds of times in a wide range of events and settings, I understand the need to always be personable, professional and family friendly.
Additionally, I can be "the show" or, if you just want background music; I am very happy to fill that need as well.

You can also expect a musician who who will do everything in his power to make sure all of your guests enjoy the event. It is important to me that you hear very positive comments from your guests regarding sound, song choices and my performance.
I am flexible and can be the show or background music. Either way, I am easy to work with and have the goal of doing my part to make the event a success.
Phil Berbig is a favorite throughout Minnesota. He has a unique style blending a wide variety of popular songs arranged for a solo guitar player/singer and an occasional harmonica.
For the last 15 years he has been a staple at wineries, breweries, wine bars, events and just about any other venue you can think of. His mix of music includes hit songs by people like Johnny Cash and Cold Play, The Beatles and The Plain White T’s, The Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry .
Phil is personable, entertaining and just plain, a lot of fun. His stories mixed with his style of music make an evening out into an event.
I have a lot of great influences: First, The Beatles and Rolling Stones are two of my all time favorite songwriters and performers. But with that said, Chuck Berry, John Denver, Jim Croce, Neil Young and Johnny Cash are brilliant artists who have the genius to turn just a few chords into some of the most entertaining and beautiful sounds possible.
There are so many others that I love to listen to and study; Carol King, 4Non Blondes, Train, Cold Play and Lady Gaga all have so much to offer. I could probably keep adding names to this list, but the truth is, I find there are people in pretty much every genera who can influence and teach us all something about music every day.
