I happened to come across this website and saw Philip Adair's page. He blessed me with his talent five years ago, and I am still enjoying the fruits of his labor and still cherishing the memory of his showing up for our appointment dressed not in the slovenly, oversized clothing many young people wear today--even on job interviews--but in a neat suit and tie. I would have hired him for his appearance alone! (Lol) But he offered much more than neat grooming and polite manners. Philip took a melody I had composed about Coretta Scott King and turned it into a score that matched--and exceeded--my vision ("The Kings' Queen: A Song for Coretta Scott King," which you can find on YouTube and which I am posting, with a new video, on the date of this review). Because the song's subject is a woman who is a product of the 1950s and the Protestant church, my song has that old-old-school flavor--so it is not Philip's normal style. Yet, he was able to find the notes to match the elevated Black-church style the piece demanded. And he did it for a great price and by exhibiting much patience in capturing the melody as I heard it in my head. I highly recommend him!

About
I am an Atlanta native, and I've been playing professionally for over 10 years.
I started playing classical piano at age 7 and got into jazz in high school. I went to college for music, spending some years in Memphis, TN, and then in Austin, TX, playing with various bands as well as by myself as a solo act while going to school. I received a Bachelor's degree in music from Huston-Tillotson University in May of 2012.
Since moving back to the Atlanta area in 2012, I have been performing in corporate bands, as well as attending the occasional jam session and performing at hotels and other venues. I play music from a diverse array of genres, from Jazz to 70's Soul to R&B to Top 40 and Radio hits - so you might expect to hear songs by Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bruno Mars, Ceelo Green and others, as well as my own original music and free-form Jazz improvisation.
Additional Booking Notes
