Gennifer “PHOENYX,” Robinson, a self-motivated and multi-talented individual” with diverse educational and professional experiences. She demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills. Those talents, coupled with her strong sense of humility and passion to advocate for individuals who are most often deemed to be at the bottom rung of society are beyond amazing. In an effort to develop necessary proficiencies, she earned a M.S. in Human Services and is currently pursuing dual M.Ed. degrees in Rehab Counseling with an emphasis in Family Advocacy and Counseling for Mentally Ill Individuals.
A native Baltimorean, “PHOENYX” has been a comedic powerhouse with natural innate ability in making people laugh. Fortunate for her fans, she was discovered by a talent scout in November of 2012 and was selected to perform in the Big Stage Talent Showcase. This encounter afforded her the opportunity to make her debut onto the comedy scene for monthly engagements at Loafer’s Bar and Grill in Baltimore, Maryland. Since that time, Gennifer “PHOENYX” Robinson continues to exude her larger than life comedic presentations to audiences in venues throughout Maryland. Over the past two, years her performances have expanded to the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and New York. These locations and other mic appearances include Loafers Bar and Grill, the Five Mile House, St. Mary’s Bar and Grill, Chappie’s Motel and Grill, Fish Head Catina, Myth and Moonshine, and a host of impromptu appearances.
In life it is necessary to wear my hats. Whether Gennifer finds herself in the throes of laughter on the Comedy scene, as a professional who others depend upon for much needed services and support, or often a smile and kind word, burning the candle at both ends while cramming for an important exam, or just engaging in the normal rungs of day-to-day living, she has made a conscientious decision to smile in the face of adversity and rise from the ashes of ruins to a fire that ignites the spirit. Like the bird, Gennifer “PHOENYX” Robinson has emerged from her own ashes of life - reborn and released from the sentence of mortality and able to live on forever through the gift of laughter as she ascend from the ashes to the incarnation and humanity of life and living. From a very early age, she has been a comedic powerhouse with natural innate ability. As family, friends and admirers of her multiple talents have watched her grow and mature into one whose horizons are beyond measure, we proudly hold a little piece of her to call our own home grown star.
Gennifer “PHOENYX” Robinson’s quick wit, charisma and ferociously aggressive style of comedy make her a force to be reckoned with. Best known for her audience interaction, relatable stand-up comedy, and her ability to incorporate material off the top of her head keep audiences coming back for more. Comedy is not her job; rather it is her calling. She believes comedy is the most beautiful, graceful way of telling the truth.

She captivates audiences and keep them in stitches through her quick wit and “Faster than a pizza deliveryman,” fiery commentary. “PHOENYX” will definitely immerse you in the possibility of seeing real life dilemmas from a different vantage point – hilarity. Gennifer “PHOENYX” Robinson lives by the motto, when life throws you a curve, and there will be many, the best measure is to laugh. You will often witness her giving comedic renditions of interactions with clients on her day job, or her attempts to distinguish who to keep closer, her enemies, or her friends who actually are enemies or maybe even something as light hearted as Oodles of Noodles, in which she is so talented, she can create an entire performance based on that concept.
Since coming on the Comedy scene, she has shared the stage with outstanding comedic talents such as Reginald Ballard, who held a recurring role on the hit television show as “Bro Man,” Alonso “Hamburger” Jones of BET’s Def. Comedy Jam, Chris Thomas, the original mayor of BET’s “Rap City”, as well as homegrown visionaries Howard G. and Rickey Shackleford. Being in the presence of such talent and having the opportunity to watch, learn and grow through their mentorship is immeasurable to my continued success.
