Dedicated and highly skilled in playing all styles, including jazz, rock, pop, blues, and country, with hundreds of songs in my repertoire. I have broad appeal and skill at connecting with a wide range of audiences.
I've played hundreds of venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall to The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and performed for the President of the United States. Accompanied dozens of artists, and had my own band for 15 years.
Completely self contained if necessary. High end portable piano and sound system sufficient for most venues.
We hired Skip for a milestone birthday party for 50 guests. He arrived early, got set up, and did sounds checks. His equipment was high quality, and his playlist outstanding. We were extremely pleased with his role in making the party special and memorable.
If you are having trouble deciding on a pianist stop looking and book Skip now! I gave him a list of songs and a few song requests that he learned for my wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. He is easy to work with and brings all the equipment needed for the event. I was absolutely stunned with his performance! Just wonderful

I Think first and foremost, I am not just a piano player, but a professional. Having a background in the music industry and business, makes a difference in how smooth your performance can go for the agent and the audience. I am not the least expensive, but highly worth the amount requested and will give more than 100%. (Bio and list of major artist worked with upon request)
I like to arrive early and in plenty of time to be set up so the event will go accordingly. Dress and attire is very important to the performance you are working. So, this is always a part of my job before I arrive, knowing how to look for your event. Having the best in equipment and instruments, when needed to bring for the show, is very important. I pride myself in the fact that I have taken a lot time and energy picking out some of the best equipment to give you the best sound needed, wanted and expected by a professional. (Equipment list upon request)
Just being a great piano player, does not make you a great performer. A performer can play anything requested, should that situation arise. A performer is personable and knows how to mingle with the guest on their break, making the music a true part of the event happening for the evening. They also know when NOT to be a part of the audience when that is appropriate . In other words, they know when and how to fit in to make everyone a part of the music experience for the evening.
I am a performer as well as a piano player. Yes I play standards and request of all genres, but i am a creator, and capturing an audience is what I do best. (Standard song list available on request)
Arrived in Nashville playing ragtime/honky tonk piano at Shaky's Pizza Parlor. Went on the road after that doing the country music thing with Tammy Wynette and other artists through the mid 80's.
Played hundreds of venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall to The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and performed for the President of the United States. Accompanied dozens of artists, and had my own band for 15 years.
After touring with Nashville artists, I put a band together called Hot Pursuit. We played the club and small venue scene through 2003. I played private functions and gatherings till 2009 when I started playing piano bar and other local venues. Play all kinds of music, from jazz and blues to rock and country, to the old standards.
Dedicated and highly skilled in playing all styles, including jazz, rock, pop, blues, and country, with hundreds of songs in my repertoire. I have broad appeal and skill at connecting with a wide range of audiences.
