I am a pianist, harpsichordist, and keyboard synth player. I’m primarily classically trained but have familiarity with a variety of musical styles, from the very old to the very new. I am a strong sight-reader and fast learner, and people describe me as a highly expressive and passionate performer. I can perform from my prepared repertoire, including my own compositions, and I can also take special requests or suggestions.
I highly recommend and would hire Margin again. They were professional, one time, and played the type of music we requested.
Margin played for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and was absolutely wonderful. They were super professional and kind in our correspondence, arrived to the venue well before start time to get set up with their keyboard, and played us down the aisle beautifully and provided the best soundtrack for our cocktail hour. Margin worked in all of our requests, including a piano rendition of Life on Mars which they played as we walked down the aisle that I’m still getting choked up thinking about, and an arrangement of movie scores for cocktail hour at which was such a nice personal touch and went perfectly. Thank you Margin for making our special day extra special!!!!

I am a young keyboardist (piano, harpsichord, electronic keyboards), composer, and interdisciplinary artist who is eager to foster community, enlightenment, and joy through music. This spring, I graduated from Haverford College with a B.A. in music (with honors) and in mathematics.
My solo performance experience includes my senior thesis recital, in which I performed a wide range of repertoire including Ludwig van Beethoven’s Op. 110 piano sonata, Gabriela Lena Frank’s Sonata Andina, and select movements of a suite by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre (played on harpsichord). In June 2023, I performed my work “fluxing, quivering, transforming,” which is a fusion of classical piano and performance art, at New Music Gathering in Portland, Oregon. In April 2020, I performed a virtual, interactive piano concert, reinterpreting UK-based composer Lola Perrin’s Significantus to reflect upon collective care within the climate crisis and the pandemic.
In college I played in chamber ensembles, including two piano trios (the first performed selections of Clara Schumann’s and Germaine Tailleferre’s trios, the second the whole of Dmitri Shostakovich’s E minor trio) and two piano duos (playing Darius Milhaud’s Scaramouche and the Finale Curt Cacioppo’s Piano Variations on Hail to the Chief). In Dec. 2021, I performed on harpsichord with two other students who played violin and viola in Haverford’s chamber music concert. We performed select movements from sonatas by Dietrich Buxtehude and by J.S. Bach/C.P.E. Bach. I have some familiarity with reading figured bass, enough to write out my own realization but not to improvise on the spot.
In high school, I frequently accompanied ensembles, most often choirs, including PMEA District 11 Choir ((phone number hidden)9), PMEA Region 6 Choir ((phone number hidden)8), PMEA All-State Choir (2017), PMEA All-State Concert Band (2018), NAfME All-Eastern Orchestra (2019), and various school ensembles, including one year in a jazz band. From 8th to 12th grades, I played keyboard synth for school musical pit orchestras (shows in chronological order): Les Miserables, Big Fish, The Secret Garden, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Spamalot. Multiple times I played the primary Keyboard 1 part. Currently, I’m the Collaborative Pianist for the avocational choir Coroallegro based in Wilmington, Delaware.
I have a DipABRSM in Piano Performance (awarded in 2018). I am also a composer with some experience with electronics and multimedia work. In addition, I play the viola at an intermediate level and was principal violist in school orchestra throughout high school, and I also have some training in solo voice. If desired, I can include in my act/program a song or two that I sing while accompanying myself.
