Picket Hill

Picket Hill is not a cover band! We perform a mix of covers and original music. Our covers include some well known artists and many lesser known artists. Our acoustic music ranges from quiet love songs to rocking blues covers. With adequate advance notice we can accommodate a few specific song requests. We typically perform as an acoustic trio featuring guitars, bass, mandolin, harmonica, cello and fiddle. For select gigs we may invite additional personnel and incorporate drums, banjo or keyboard.

We have our own sound and PA equipment. We can provide high quality sound for intimate venues and large outdoor events. Set up of a large PA system may result in additional charges. For outdoor events we require a stage or solid level surface for the band and gear approximately 10’ x 10’. We can provide our own pop up tent if required.

We prefer casual dress. We don’t have visible tattoos or piercings.

Three songwriters each bring a carload of instruments, a portfolio of handcrafted songs and a love for each other's music to Picket Hill. After several years of playing in the same venues and song circles around New Hampshire Carl invited Greg and Charles to join him at an all day charity gig. That day we accompanied each other's songs, found some vocal harmonies and decided on the spot that we would form a band.

Initially the hardest part was agreeing on a name. We played several gigs as Not Yet Named but eventually found a name and officially became Picket Hill!

I think we all agree the best part is when a member brings a brand new song to a practice session and we try every instrument in the room looking for the right mix for each song.

We do not typically provide stage lighting. Our sound gear requires a minimum of 2 15a grounded electrical outlets within 15’ of the stage.

We can provide lighting on request with cost and electrical requirements do be determined by client needs.
