We had the immense privilege of having Dave play the bagpipes at our dear friend's funeral yesterday. Our friend, who immigrated from Scotland at the age of 6, would have found no greater honour than the stirring melodies of the bagpipes to mark his farewell. Dave's performance was not just music; it was an emotional journey that left everyone in tears.

Despite the short notice, Dave demonstrated remarkable flexibility and understanding. He coordinated seamlessly with me and the funeral home, ensuring every detail was perfect. His dedication to getting everything right was evident, and it eased a significant burden during such a challenging time.

The beauty of Dave's music cannot be overstated. It was profoundly moving, resonating deeply with everyone in attendance. The family was incredibly touched by his heartfelt playing, feeling the embrace of their Scottish heritage through every note.

We had Dave play the pipes at our wedding. He was fabulous! From the booking process to the wedding day, he was very friendly, and accommodating. Dave kept in touch and even offered some selections for us to choose from. An absolutely amazing piper, and he made our day extra special. I hired Piper Dave to play (as a birthday gift) at my brother-in-laws 80th birthday party. My brother-in-law suffers from dementia and most days can't remember simple things. It's been a week since the party and Piper Dave has not been forgotten. In fact remembered as a great Piper
The guests and family very much enjoyed him. Some guests had not ever seen or heard bagpipes.
Dave was very friendly, as he chatted with guests and answered questions in between songs.

Piper Dave was perfect for our event! He was very easy to work with. He's an excellent bagpiper; responded quickly via texts and answered any questions. Dave played in the lobby of my mother's apartment building, in celebration of her 96th birthday. She invited friends from the building - all of them thoroughly enjoyed hearing the bagpipes. Dave was happy to have the crowd sing along with him. It was absolutely wonderful! We highly recommend Piper Dave.

Piper Dave played during the small memorial we held for my dad. His timing was perfect and played the song we requested (Flowers of the Forest) beautifully. He sped the tune up a bit since the original is a tad slow and it was absolutely perfect. He was professional, respectful, and friendly. All of the folks who attended were impressed and super happy (as much as possible given the circumstances anyways) with the performance.

Made the evening very enjoyable for everyone, set the atmosphere of celebration and joy. Piper Dave is great to work with and though the event didn't quite go as scheduled, he went with the flow and didn't miss a step. You won't be disappointed if you hire him as the piper for any of your events.

I have worked with David in weddings and funerals. He is always just right for all occasions. Most recently we worked together for a wedding that was ravaged by an aggressive storm that ripped apart almost everything in the outside venue. Even the very large dining tent collapsed. Everything about the wedding was in shambles. We were definitely in salvage mode. When we were finally able to start the ceremony, David went over and above to pipe in the wedding party aa well as the bride, since all sound equipment had been disabled. As usual with David, we worked synergistically for the outcome the bride had hoped for -- a ceremony Lauren, the bride, described as "magical". Thank you David for being such a talented and versatile consummate professional.

Piper Dave played his bagpipes for our mother’s 89th birthday celebration. He played, to perfection, a variety of traditional songs and ‘Happy Birthday’. Piper Dave wore traditional Scottish apparel, including his family quilt (He’s a handsome Piper!). We found Piper Dave very personable, engaging in conversation with our family after playing his set of songs. I highly recommend Piper Dave!

We hired Piper Dave to add a Scottish element to our daughters wedding as both the bride and groom have Scottish heritage. Dave was incredibly professional, whilst being warm & pleasant in all our dealings. Piper Dave was awesome. Right from the get go Piper was easy to reach and communicate with. He gave us options and let us decide what music we wanted played at our daughters wedding. He stayed in contact with us throughout the whole wedding arrangements. We changed times and at times probably made it more difficult on him but he never complained and always said yes. He played beautifully. Made us teary eyed as the bride walked down the aisle but sure has us clapping and celebrating as the newlyweds returned arm in arm as husband and wife. An amazing day. Traditionally, bagpipes are thought to possess mystical powers. Supposedly they are the only instrument that can be heard in Heaven. A piper and the sound of the bagpipes helps to direct departed souls towards the gates of heaven. Your beautiful playing I'm sure helped to guide my parents and they heard every note.

Piper Dave played at our wedding this fall and did a fantastic job. He communicated with us in the months and weeks leading up to the event, gave us some great ideas for the procession, and played the pieces we chose beautifully. I was especially impressed at his willingness (upon my request) to try a collab with a fiddler who was also in attendance at the wedding, for a rendition of Paddy's Leather Breaches that I'll never forget. Months later our guests continue to fondly describe arriving at the venue to the sound of bagpipes. I would highly recommend Piper Dave for any event where you need some traditional Scottish tunes. We hosted a Hindu-Scottish-Dutch-Canadian wedding for our son on July 31st. There were 2 ceremonies on the same day and we needed entertainment between. Piper Dave did an amazing job leading the crowd from the gardens into the hall to see a Highland dance performance, and entertaining everyonewith a few selections. After leading them back to the gardens for the second ceremony, he did a wonderful job piping the wedding party up to the "altar" and the bride to her groom, finishing with a flourish as everyone processed to the reception.
Thanks very much for adding a traditional Scottish flavour to our day. You brought a tear to my Scottish father's eye.

Dave played at our wedding almost 17 years ago and again at my father in law's Celebration of Life just yesterday. "Brilliant" is a word that comes to mind. My family was in esplanade park for a butterfly release we do annually for my father who passed away 10 years ago, who happened to be born in Scotland. As we were walking through the park Dave walked up behind us from another event he was playing and kindly offered to play us a song after we commented on his pipes. This was a random act of kindness from Dave but meant so much to my family, especially my grandmother (my fathers Mum, who was raised in Scotland), he played her request and gave us a moment of serendipity that touched our hearts deeply.
