Overview
We, The Port City Rockers do one thing really good.....have fun!! We have fun when we're playing good music for good folks and having a party. We play a variety of music from multiple genres that include Classics from Top 40 Rock, Blues, Country, Soul and a little Pop that will likely have everyone dancing, toe-tapping, clapping their hands, singing along and very probably, shaking their booties throughout the evening! A good time is what it's all about and we hope to have a good time with you and your guest at your party, soon.

Party Band
I booked the Port City Rockers for a large outdoor birthday celebration. Ric communicated with me, gave me a very large set list to pick from and even offered to learn a new couple of songs if needed. They showed up on time, set up a really nice system with lights. The moment they started playing I knew we were in for a special night. Everyone loved the Port City Rockers! What a fun evening! I highly recommend these guys!

What to Expect
When your guests attend your event, they will want one thing....to have a great time and we will do our part to deliver on that. Your guest will enjoy dancing or toe tapping to our music and the non-dancers will enjoy singing along with songs they will quickly recognize and know. Our song list includes songs from multiple genres such as Top 40 Rock, Soul, Funk, Country, Hillbilly Rock and Beach Music, songs from the 50's to today's current chart toppers. Variety!
Our band members are very experienced in the music business and bring a level of professionalism to the stage both you and your guest will appreciate. We will begin on time with a song list in hand, prepared for your event in order to keep the party going with little to no down time between songs. Breaks will be limited in number and length, again, in an effort to keep the party going. And we will be sober and drug free.
If there is a specific song that you would like played at your event, let us know before hand and we will put in the time and effort to learn the song, before your event. With the experience of our band members, we would need only a couple of weeks to prep any song you may request.
The Port City Rockers have "2" goals for your event. 1st, we want to provide your guest with a fun filled afternoon or evening that they will enjoy and remember for days, weeks and perhaps months to come. Secondly and possibly most significantly, we want you, the event holder, to feel that not only did you get your money's worth, but the value of our services far exceeds the fee you paid, regardless of the amount. Your event may be a party but it is also a business for us and we take it seriously. Thank you for your consideration and we hope we get to spend an evening with you and your friends, soon.
About
The formation of The Port City Rockers is an effort put forth by Ric, our Drummer, that began in April of 2019. Ric auditioned and worked with various musicians over several months and while the pandemic slowed things down, eventually the perfect blend of talent, ability and personalities came together with 100+ years of combined experience and 1,000s of hours of stage time. We recently downsized our band in an effort to make it less of an expense for those seeking our services. Our Facebook page offers you an opportunity to review some of our videos from recent functions.
The combined influences of our members is rich in music from the 50's to today's current chart toppers including Rock, Soul, Funk, Country, Hillbilly Rock, R&B and Beach Music. Our band is better prepared to play for ages 45+. Regardless of the genre, it's guaranteed your guest will quickly recognize and likely be able to sing along with every song on our playlist. Our goal is to bring a party to your event so your guest will leave having had a fun filled evening and carry with them great memories of a great time.
Additional Booking Notes
We have a full sound system and lights to bring to your event. All we need are a few electrical outlets to set up. Volume is always a concern at events. Knowing the volume is driven largely by the drummer, our drummer has a smaller electronic drum kit to use indoors or for smaller outdoor events and a large acoustic kit to use for large outdoor events.

Influences & Inspiration
Our influences are vast and varied. We all grew up listening to the early rockers such as Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and others as well as country artist from the same era such as Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, Marty Robbins and others. As we grew older our influences continued to include well known artist from both genres such as The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Bee Gees, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Hank Williams, Jr., George Jones, Merle Haggard and others. Early R&B and soul influences included James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave to Earth, Wind & Fire, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Average White Band and more. The list goes on and on. As younger musicians, we grew up playing most of the hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Regardless of the era or genre, all music had some level of influence on each of our members. Rock, Country, Soul, Motown and even Jazz influences helped us become the musicians we are today.
Setup Requirements
We have the equipment for indoor/ outdoor events. No event is to large or small.
For stage setup, we will need several electrical outlets. If outdoors, we would like to have a tent to cover the band from the heat and sunlight and to protect our equipment in the event of rain.
