Event review: Boy, where do i start. I went a little long but urge you to read the whole story. My grandma had recently passed away. She left quite the legacy and was a WWI veteran having served in the Army Air Corp doing USO shows to help sell war bonds doing shows with the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller and Benny Goodman. I wanted to honor her and thought about having a singer at her military funeral. After a short search i came upon Ashley Ann and the Carnations and reached out. Both Ashly and Asi were so professional. We had frequent communications as the date approached discussing the songs to sing and technical issues of the venue. As this was a veterans cemetery in Riverside (the busiest in the nation having a service every 30 minutes) we had time restraints and no power available. The two songs were "Georgia on my mind" and "The old rugged cross". The second song Ashly had to learn. She even had the accompanying music recorded for both songs to insure it was appropriate for the occasion rather than sounding like a karaoke sound track. The day of the funeral was AMAZING!!!! They showed up dressed in authentic WWI uniforms and showed up early. Ashly looked absolutely beautiful. They worked with the cemetery to be set up and ready when the funeral presession arrived at the venue. Again i cant say enough how amazing the service was. Ashly's voice and performance was the the most touching moment. A week later as i write this i am still getting calls and texts from family members thanking me for making the service so memorable with every one of them saying how much they loved her performance and meeting her after the ceremony. I just cant say enough how great everything went. Ashley and Asi were not only true professionals but showed true interest in honoring my grandmas legacy and went above and beyond to ensure it was a day we would never forget and trust me i will never forget it!!!! On behalf of the Hall family I THANK YOU Ashley Anne!!!!! Dave Hall
