At Primo Lighting and Sound, we’ll help you throw the party guests wish lasted longer with more than great music - dazzling dance floor lighting, uplighting, special effects, and a DJ that keeps people entertained the entire time. We provide entertainment for occasions of all types.

What's the difference between us and other DJs?
User Friendly and Simple planning forms! We have our own exclusive planning forms that let you plan your event, choose music, and create a timeline. These are digital forms that can easily be filled out on any device.

We are NOT a one-man band at your major event! What if something happens to your DJ/Event Host? We send out a minimum of TWO DJ(s) to every wedding/mitzvah. One main headliner DJ and a secondary backup/assistant DJ!

Computer-controlled Lighting; NOT random lighting! Most DJs use what is called sound active lighting, which are lights that do random flashes, strobes, dots, and colors. We don't have that! Our lighting is software controlled and does only what we program it to do!

EVERYTHING is CUSTOM! No two events are the same so why would the entertainment be the same? We do NOT do cookie-cutter packages, instead, we design a custom bundle that caters to your specific event needs!

One of the first things that people look at when they walk into an event is the DJ setup. We hide our cords and cables well, so the setup looks clean and professional. The last thing you want is a DJ with cords and things everywhere. Click here to see our setup vs other DJs.

My name is Primo Giammusso. I am an open format & mobile DJ with over 7 years of experience. My journey started way back in 2015 when I began DJing for my family off of an iPod with a DJ app. I realized that this was something I was really interested in and wanted to pursue it further. I started off doing events for free, and then eventually built my way up to buying my first DJ system, and eventually... lighting, photo booths, and special effects. I began DJing at the age of 12, and professionally at 14. I worked my first wedding at 14, and since then have rocked out tons of events in western New York.

Since then I have been involved in several lighting/sound/theatrical productions in the Buffalo area. My career in professional production started when I worked in the production crew for the World's Largest Disco in 2018. I now assist with lighting and setup, run, and teardown the event every year. This is just one of the big events I am involved in. I am a member of IATSE Local 10 in Buffalo and work many concerts, theater shows, and more in the area. I have worked with many tours that have come into Buffalo including Billy Joel, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Tool, WWE, Eagles, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, New Kids on the Block, Garth Brooks, Pitbull, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Metallica, Wiz Khalifa, and more! In 2019, I decided to start my own company, Primo Lighting and Sound, and since then we have rocked out hundreds of events in the area.
