In my opinion, there are five essential qualities that all public speakers need in order to  strengthen and reinforce a consequential impact on their audiences.  The first quality is confidence.  A confident speaker is accurate, competent, credible, intelligent, knowledgeable, and likable.
The second quality is passion. A great public speaker must have a passion for speaking.  When you are passionate about something, you are enthusiastic and eager to perform it. 
The third quality if a great public speaker is introspection and self awareness. They understand who they are and what they stand for. They are able to realistically evaluate their strengths and weakness and constantly work toward becoming better.  Public speakers are able to think critically during a presentation and work toward becoming better by taking notes of what they think is lacking in their presentations while capitalizing on their strong qualities!
The fourth quality of a great motivational speaker is their ability to engage with their audience as much as they possibly can. They are empathetic and selfless towards their audiences And strive to understand their challenges, concerns, and hopes.
The fifth essential quality of a great motivational speaker is his or her knowledge and expertise in a particular area.  People will seek their services based on the knowledge they have.
