“Over 50 years ago, in 1962, I had the dubious distinction of being one of the most wanted men in the U.S. (for armed robberies) and was wanted in five states. I served nearly ten years in prison in several prisons, as I was doing time on the installment plan, and these years were devoted to the study of astrology, metaphysics and religions, principally Christianity; Hinduism, and Buddhism. These ten years became to me what I later realized was akin to a monastic existence, allowing me to withdraw from the world with its materialistic demands and focus on reflection, meditation, self-discovery, and research.

My ten years in a “monastery“ were productively revelatory. [Plural: monasteries, a term” to live alone” denotes the building, or complex of buildings, that houses a room reserved for prayer (e.g. an oratory) as well as the domestic quarters and workplace(s) of monastics, whether monks or nuns, and whether living in community or alone (hermits)].

Having a captive clientele, I was privileged to have a perfect lab to experiment in as my clients (inmates) weren’t going anywhere soon. Of course, if someone had a Mercury/Mars affliction, I didn’t predict a car accident, as no one was driving inside those walls, but I would see the potential for a fight brought on by arguments (Mercury rules communication, Mars – potential violence and anger).

The prison environment allowed me to observe the uncanny accuracy of my astrological forecasting and the outcome of my predictions through their fulfillment – or their failure. This gave me a view into the way astrological influences worked in the human psyche. Upon my release in 1972, I began to teach and lecture based on my years of revelations and research.”
