Darla Hall grew up in the small town of Cloverdale, Indiana, not far from Bloomington, where John Cougar Mellencamp was born. Her parents were instrumental in teaching her to be a strong and independent woman. She was often told that dynamite comes in small packages because she has so much energy and lights up any room she is in. The song, “Small Town” was one that she grew up listening to.

Well I was born in a small town.
One stoplight, one Dollar Store, and one (link hidden)e sees John Cougar Mellencamp at an IU basketball game from time to time and has always enjoyed his music. She has met his dad, Bobby Knight and many famous people, however her favorite heroes are the kids fighting for their lives in the hospitals. Her favorite movie is Hoosiers and she is a sucker for the underdog and stories where teams make a comeback.

Used to daydream in that small town.
I dreamed about getting a job, getting married to the star basketball player, and living the good life. Now, my dreams consist of building a business, helping others and making a difference in the world. My dreams revolve around kids and helping them reach their dreams.

No I cannot forget where it is that I come from.
The humble people, the kind neighbors, and the hard workers. Success may look different for people in different communities, but it all boils down to what makes people happy.

Oh, and that’s good enough for me.
She wouldn’t change a thing. Her humble beginnings are what made her who she is and for that, she is thankful.

Hall has worked hard all of her life with a focus in sports marketing, retail, and hospitality. From (phone number hidden)1, she owned her own marketing company. From 2011 to present day, Hall has single-handedly built In the Sports Zone from scratch as a gift for a little boy who was hospitalized. She sold over $1M in activity books during those eight years. She loves to make an impact on people’s lives wherever she goes. Strangers become friends. Friends become supporters. Supporters become customers. The power of the internet and social media has been extremely helpful in building her platform without a lot of marketing dollars. She grew that company to include over 200 sports titles for NCAA, NBA, NFL, MLB, and NBA. She had the desire to help more kids, therefore she pivoted her company to Witty Publications and now creates cause-related activity books for kids in hospitals, corporate books for companies like Caterpillar and Ace Hardware, and general education books. She wrote Matters of a Positive Mindset Workbook & Action Guide and enjoys inspiring others to live life to the fullest.

Her greatest accomplishment has been raising her children and she enjoys traveling, fitness, and motivating others through fun content. She believes that being authentic is powerful. She is currently running her own business and working on several special projects.
