Rachel Durrum Music LLC specializes in wedding and event music in the Orlando, FL area and beyond.. It is my goal to use my experience and knowledge to make this process as easy and fun as possible. I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful venues, planners & DJ's throughout the state of Florida. I know how to satisfy venue concerns and requirements from insurance liability to policies and procedures. I want to help you relax into the fun parts of planning your event music!
Rachel and her partner made the perfect addition to our wedding. With a small 30-person wedding, we chose to have all instrumental music instead of a DJ. They played for our ceremony, first dances, and all throughout our cocktail hour and reception. Rachel was so fun and easy to work with. She was able to incorporate lyrical music with their instrumental music for our first dances, which was something we were specifically looking for. They played beautifully, and I would not make any changes. It was truly perfect. They were professional and kind. I would highly recommend Rachel and her partner if you are planning a wedding or event in the area!
Rachel did an incredible job, adding an elegance to our wedding ceremony. As soon as she started playing “Beauty and The Beast” while the Bride was walking down the aisle, the groom and others started to tear up. She also learned a special Filipino song (Forevermore by Side A) for us which meant the world to us!

Rachel began her violin training 30 years ago in Sarasota Florida, where she reaped the benefits of growing up in a culturally rich environment. She received her Bachelors degree from Rollins College in ‘01, where she majored in Music Performance and received the “String Performer of the Year” award 3 years in a row. She was concertmaster of the Rollins Orchestra and String Ensemble in addition to being the youngest Rollins violinist asked to begin performing with the Bach Festival Orchestra during her freshman year. Since college, Rachel has been performing in various professional settings, including the Orlando Philharmonic, Bach Festival Orchestra, Disney Weddings, Universal Conventions, and many many Weddings & events across the beautiful state of Florida. She strives to tailor each performance to her clients unique taste and style & enjoys performing a wide variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, pop & rock.
If you would like music amplification for your event, the setup must be located within 75 ft. of a working power source. Make sure your venue tests this for you 2 weeks as well as the day before your event!
If you have any special request songs, please get these to the musicians as soon as possible so they have adequate time to prepare (fees may apply). 1-2 months is ideal.
We currently do not offer a lav microphone for the officiant. We can offer a corded mic depending on setup and venue space.
Please anticipate 5-10 minutes of transition time between locations (ex: ceremony & cocktail) depending on how far away the 2 locations are from each other and depending on whether the musicians need to move sound equipment. We can create a plan together to ensure a seamless transition.
Performances longer than 2 hours will require a paid break. Musicians are paid for the total time they are hired (breaks and gaps in performance time) Ex: you want the musicians to perform for the ceremony, not perform for cocktails, and then perform for dinner hour. Setup and cleanup time do not add to the times or fees. Breaks and performance gaps will be scheduled ahead of time to coincide with the event schedule. We want to to ensure the client gets the best possible experience.
Performances longer than 4 hours will require the provision of a vendor meal.
