I play the classical violin, and have been studying the instrument for the last 16 years. I've also been in orchestras and ensembles for about as long. Recently, I have picked up teaching.
If you need a musician for hire, whether it is for events, gigs, or to sub in for your regular musician, I'm your gal! Music directors and other individuals who have hired me enjoyed my energy and flexibility. I can play most major classical repertoire, sight-read with aplomb, and play by ear.

I just heard Rachel Lee perform a duet at a house party with a wonderful violist, Jacob Warwick. They played the challenging Passacaglia for Violin & Viola, an arr. of a Handel piece by Johan Halvorsen. i am a musician myself and was thrilled with Rachel's performance. If you hire her for anything, i expect you will be very happy. The way i found this site was by Googling her name. I was curious, Who is this Rachel Lee violinist?

Repertoire includes classical violin pieces, Irish/Celtic fiddle tunes, and covers (pop, rock, indie folk, soundtrack). I can do a few hot jazz standards, as well. If you have sheet music, I can most likely play it and/or sight-read it. My performance set-up is acoustic, but if you have an amp or a PA system, I have a decent pick-up (1/4") that I could bring to the gig.
I will perform by myself, or with a few musicians of similar caliber (duet, trio, quartet), if they are available to perform on your requested date.
I can drive myself to gigs close to Seattle. I can bring my own stand, as well, if unavailable.
