My name is Rachel Noel and I'm an award- winning professional fusion belly dancer and teacher living in Oakland CA.
My work is inspired by a lifetime of study in multiple genres of dance, as well as music, theatre and poetry.
Significant influences on my dance practice include belly dance, jazz, hip- hop, modern dance, as well as my experience as a go- go dancer. Fusion dance is special to me because it allows me to collect these inspirations into one moment and create something boundless! When I'm not dancing, I'm working with families or in the community as an educator, caretaker, event producer and arts administrator. My biggest passion and purpose in life is to spread creative joy and explore ways to bring people together!
If I'm bringing my own music, it's always lovely to have access to a sound system I can plug into with my device.
If no sound system is available, let me know and I'll provide my own!
Other factors that are great to know ahead of time include whether the performance will take place inside or outside,
and what kind of flooring I'm being requested to dance on.
I can provide simple lighting if there is an outlet nearby.
