Rae is a proud member of Virginia’s award-winning professional dance company, Wa Nour Al Ayun. She brings poise and playfulness to every performance and is a recognizable and sought-after dancer throughout Miami. Rae is praised as an authentic and traditional Oriental Dancer, but also for being refreshing by adding spice to the deeply rooted movements. The ease with which she floats on stage fuses with her fresh, energetic charisma to produce one of the most entertaining/captivating shows a bellydancer can provide.
Rae envelops her audience at all events such as birthdays, weddings, bar/bat mitsvahs, bachelorette parties, weekend getaways, corporate events, baby/wedding showers, etc.
I saw Rae dance at an anniversary party and I will be booking her for my future events. Really involved the audience - was a lot of fun.

Clients will receive a professional, family friendly show. It involves an opening number with wings or veil, a lively drum solo, an earthy saidi, a sultry taqsim, and always audience participation. If appropriate, Rae will involve the guest of honor and anyone else who wants to get up and dance. Rae will use props such as fire, sword, cane, fan veil, zills, tambourine, or fan upon request.
From her first bellydance class at the young age of twelve, Rae became engulfed in the tradition, culture, and beauty of Middle Eastern dance. Her first mentor, Alexia of Tennessee, planted/rooted the love of the dance into her body and heart and quickly saw the potential she held. More accurately know as Raqs Sharqi, bellydance soon became an integral part of her life.
Rae provides all music, but the client must provide the sound system - the louder the better! Any special requests must be made beforehand. Rae requires a contract with a $50 nonrefundable deposit.
A typical show is about 30 minutes long and involves 5-6 choreographies including props and audience participation. Rae will also work with her clients to provide a custom show that will be perfect for any event.
Rae also performs in restaurants, with 3 sets of about 15 minutes each.
Rae has been studying Middle Eastern Dance (officially known as raqs sharqi, more commonly known as bellydance) for twelve years. She studies intensively with master teachers from all over the world such as Virginia of US, Yousry Sharif, Amir Thaleb, Tito Seif, Mohamed Shahin, Mercedes Nieto, Camila of Cairo, Samara of New York, Wael Monsour, and others. She is proud to be in the professional traveling dance company Virginia's Wa Nour Al Ayun.
