Marshall, Caroline & Megan performing as The Ramblin' Redeemed @ Cash 4 Kids
Ramblin' Pilgrim is a primarily acoustic act (we use backing tracks for part of our set) focusing on strong vocal harmonies. We do acoustic interpretations of classic and alternative rock favorites, along with some Motown, Bluegrass Gospel, Singer/Songwriter, and (when appropriate) we sprinkle in some original numbers as well.

RAMBLIN’ PILGRIM is built around a core group of three vocalists/instrumentalists, but for certain events and venues the group can include additional musicians for a group of up to six. The show usually opens with a stripped-down acoustic (‘unplugged’) set of music and then builds in instrument arrangement throughout the set (including the use of pre-recorded backing tracks for a fuller sound when only the smaller group is performing). For smaller events and/or shorter sets, the group can perform the entire show in an acoustic format, keeping the focus on the group's strong multi-part vocal harmonies.
The set includes well-known classics as well as lesser-known hidden gems from the group’s favorite artists, and often features one or more of the group’s original pieces, reflecting the group’s wide range of musical influences.
RAMBLIN’ PILGRIM can provide its own P.A. when called for, such as in smaller, more intimate venues or private events.
RAMBLIN’ PILGRIM brings together many years of collective musical experience to deliver their audience an exciting and enjoyable set of favorites spanning decades from the 1960s to the present (in some cases reaching back even further in time for vintage Appalachian and Southern Gospel classics). The vocalists and multi-instrumentalists who make up the group have all performed in many live and studio projects over the years, including having worked together in the bluegrass gospel group The Ramblin’ Redeemed and performing together on the worship team at The Orchard church in Barrington, Illinois. Although the focus is on acoustic instruments and rich vocal harmonies, the group augments their live performance with backing tracks to enhance the overall sound for part of the show. Their set list includes a wide range of artists, styles, genres, and eras and is certain to bring back memories - (the group also sprinkles in some original numbers that are sure to create new memories as well). Every show offers something for everyone in the audience.
If necessary, we can supply our own P.A. for small- to mid-size venues. However, we prefer if the venue has a P.A. We have modest requirements - depending on group size per performance. Usually 2-4 microphones, several acoustic instrument inputs, a keyboard (stereo input), and a computer or sequencer (stereo input) for backing tracks. We can bring our own DIs if necessary.
