My name is Raphaël Cafaro and I am a close-up magician. My job is to entertain you and make you forget about your daily routine for a while, perhaps even make you go back to your childhood with feelings of astonishment and wonder. We went to Montreal to visit some friends and their kids, and we had a small gathering. I've been passionate about magic since I was a young boy receiving my first magic kit at 7 years old. I decided to take magic seriously after whatching the feats of the greats like David Copperfield and Garry Kurtz on television magic specials programs.
I am also a scientist certified non-invasive cardiology technician and currently doing a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Montreal doing ovarian cancer research. My magic brings a scientific flavor and presentation style that is unique and can be entertaining as well as educational.
I love and will perform the classics of magic, magic feats that are over 100 years old and that have been performed by the great masters of the 20th century.
I also specialize in card feats done at the table very rarely seen, known as gambling demonstrations and how professional con men would cheat at a game of cards filled with real stories.
