Overview
My name is Raphaël Cafaro and I am a close-up magician. My job is to entertain you and make you forget about your daily routine for a while, perhaps even make you go back to your childhood with feelings of astonishment and wonder. Create a memorable experience at your upcoming event by also making me forget for a while about my scientific career as a PhD student in ovarian cancer research at the CRCHUM.
I can do Close-up, walk around magic and we can also sit down at the table for some up close and personal gambling demonstrations and how professional con men would cheat in a game of cards.

He’s fascinating to look at while performing. You can never see how he does the trick as his hands are fast and he knows how to divert your attention. The skills he has on magic is excellent.

We went to Montreal to visit some friends and their kids, and we had a small gathering. We decided to hire a magician, and the kids were absolutely amazed by the magic tricks—so much so that even the adults were blown away! If you're planning a kids' party or any kind of event, I highly recommend hiring him. He's fantastic and totally worth the money.

What to Expect
I perform up close and personal the classics of sleight of hand magic in a walkaround situation for your event during a cocktail reception or a wedding. I can do table to table magic, or hire me for gambling demonstrations with a deck of cards and other accessories for a private party sitting at the table.
Feats that are rarely seen and unique with a scientific touch for your entertainment pleasure.
About
I've been passionate about magic since I was a young boy receiving my first magic kit at 7 years old. I decided to take magic seriously after whatching the feats of the greats like David Copperfield and Garry Kurtz on television magic specials programs.
I am also a scientist certified non-invasive cardiology technician and currently doing a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Montreal doing ovarian cancer research. My magic brings a scientific flavor and presentation style that is unique and can be entertaining as well as educational.
I love and will perform the classics of magic, magic feats that are over 100 years old and that have been performed by the great masters of the 20th century.
I also specialize in card feats done at the table very rarely seen, known as gambling demonstrations and how professional con men would cheat at a game of cards filled with real stories.
Oh, and I am certified CPR too.
