Good at calling square dances but did not call dances for the full hour and a half.
Also played music that was inappropriate for a Christian homeschool cooperative- we gave him a playlist but he played the wrong one until we insisted that it wasn’t what we sent him.

Ray absolutely crushed it at the party. We held a 60th birthday party for my father-in-law who always wanted to try square dancing and line dancing. I was able to find Mr. Ray Ayers through this website and we immediately started messaging back and forth on details. He was very quick to respond with recommendations and we quickly figured out what would work best for my family's needs. Mr. Ray Ayers was also extremely accommodating. Our first venue option fell through because it was closed du to the Thanksgiving holiday. We were able to switch venues, this one being further away and Ray was able to still support our event with no problem or interruption to our plan.
Ray arrived early and had everything needed for our event. He set up and was ready to go right on time. He managed the clock really well, gave breaks as he saw we needed them, and provided professional guidance and instruction. We had 7 small kids participating and he was very patient with them as he taught the group the calls. This was the first time for 90% of the group. He led us through each step slowly and we learned how to do the dances. Very soon, we were dancing, laughing, messing up, and trying again. The whole evening was so much fun. Talking with my family members, the Virginia Reel was a favorite.

Ray worked with our schedule and was flexible with the timing. When we didn't have enough people for 2 squares but there were plenty watching he improvised. He ended with the Hokey Pokey, Macaraina and line dances so even those sitting could join in. He made it a successful event for our church 100th anniversary.

Mr Ayers came to our home for an outdoor House Party/BBQ/Picnic with Square Dancing on the front lawn. We had a multi-generational group with some that had never tried a Line Dance, let alone Square Dancing in their life! Ray had all his own equipment and music, taught us the expressions and moves, called us through the patterns, laughed with us, had immense patience with us - and before you know it, we were "Circling Left" and "Do Si Do-ing" like professionals! We had SO MUCH FUN! Mr Ayers is terrific, and I highly recommend him and his expertise to anyone who wants to create a special & fun memory at their next gathering.

Ray was the ultimate professional! We had a group of 30 young adults (18-35) for a New Year's Party and invited Ray to come and show us how to square dance. It really was the most fun many people had. We would highly recommend Ray for anyone's event - I am still smiling over the wonderful event.
