Ray arrived well in advance of my daughter's wedding ceremony. He played appropriate incidental guitar music as guests arrived and he had obviously coordinated with the bride's father to determine cues for music transitions during the ceremony. We chose to not amplify the sound in keeping with an outdoor setting near the woods. He played and sang The Carpenter's We've Only Just Begun and it highlighted perfectly the couple's tree planting unity ceremony. It could not have been more beautiful! The processional and recessional were timed well and everyone involved was pleased. As mother of the bride, I found Ray's demeanor pleasant and professional and he was helpful with his questions and suggestions. He was engaged and interested in what the bride would want and he seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure that the bride experienced a fairy-tale moment. Wedding guests were complimentary and several conversed with him afterward. I feel that his musical talent and contribution tied everything together for a perfect ceremony. I am most appreciative of Ray, his travel to a fairly remote location, and that I was able to locate him so easily through gigsalad. The wedding took place in an unfamiliar location and having the gigsalad resource to use helped tremendously. Thank you again to Ray and gigsalad.
Ray was excellent to work with. He did a great job as guitarist at our wedding ceremony!
Price Range: $200 and up
I play mostly unamplified, strolling, solo and duo gigs. Strolling musicians require no stage area and so take up very little space in the hall. Strolling musicians lend an air of sophistication to dinner parties, receptions and wine tastings. Guests are pleased when the musicians play their requests at their tableside.
