The Ray Miller Band exists to entertain folks of all ages, playing hit music from favorite Artists (such as George Strait), multiple genres and decades. Our George Strait Tribute is built to deliver the feel of hearing George performing at the Houston Rodeo in the Astrodome, or Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas!

The genesis of the Ray Miller Variety Band was our desire to play fun, catchy and feel-good music, without any self-imposed limitations. So while we are technically a "variety" band, we can focus on a given theme/genre such as Country, Pop, Rock, Oldies or 80s - or play them all!

When we first started several years ago, we underestimated how much joy it brings to our audience when we continually surprise them with hit music that connects, universally, with the phases of so many people's lives, from all over the country! We play country hits by artists such as George Strait, Waylon Jennings and Kenny Chesney; Pop hits from Seal and Daft Punk; Classic, Southern and SoCal Rock from Steve Miller and the Eagles, and then a medley of songs from the 80s; which is hands-down our most-appreciated music selection. What makes this work is our collective experience and diversity of influences, combined with our unique performance abilities and personal styles.

We have found that, with this unique band, we have come as close as you can to pleasing all the people all the time! Folks have told us over and over how pleasantly diverse our song list was, how much they enjoyed the way our song list deftly moves between styles, tempos, artists and genres; as well as how happy one customer was when, just as he was going to ask us to play a Beach Boys song... we did!

With rich vocals and solid musicianship, the Ray Miller Band will entertain your party, gathering or club with style, professionalism and artistic diversity! We work well in all venues, but we also specialize in "acoustic-electric" (think MTV unplugged) we are a perfect fit for dinner-clubs, wineries, events or night clubs.

Ray Miller is a Texas-born, U.S. Marine Veteran and has performed for over 30 years in the USA and abroad in such diverse locations as Naples, Italy and Seoul, South Korea. Combining his rich history in Texas flavored country, blues and rock, with Latin rhythms of Southwest Texas, New Mexico, Southern California and Miami, and a generous helping of Southern Rock, he now directs his eponymous group where all of those influences can finally come together in one band. Ray lives in the Murrieta/Temecula, CA area.

Theo Soy, founding member, is a professional drummer/percussionist who has played with wide range of international performers, such as Roy Orbison (one of Ray's fave's!). His performances are dynamic, while remaining rock solid as the leader of the rhythm section, a true world-class talent. Theo lives in San Diego, CA.

Steve Schisler is a multi-talented musician who lends his intricate bass guitar performances that help make the RMB rhythm section something special. His jazz and blues influences add a depth and flavor that helps make the Ray Miller Band unique and special. Steve resides in Murrieta, CA.

Ed Morgan is a veteran of both live performance and session studio artist. A regular in Vegas and Southern California, Ed brings energy and creativity to each and every performance. He holds the current record for setting up and tearing down a standard drum set.

Wendell Sanders is a in-demand performer with deep roots in blues, gospel and soul; a true "show-stopping" performer every time he sits down at his double row of keys. A musician's musician, he lights up the crowd, and the stage, with his unique fusion of multiple genres and unbelievable talent!

Stuart Espinoza is a former USMC musician. A regular, professional musician in SoCal, his impeccable timing and intricate performances add depth and sizzle to live performances. Stu lives in the Murrieta, CA area.

Crystal Darling, our newest member, is a classically trained and incredibly talented violinist and vocalist. She was raised in a family band singing and playing violin, however in our band Crystal is known for what most Texans would refer to as a "fiddle-player”. Crystal's impressive resume includes a performance at the Grand Ole Opry as a key part of the symphony backing up the renown country star, Josh Turner as well as an award-winning performance at Carnegie Hall, winning gold with the Temecula Conservatory orchestras where she is currently an instructor. Crystal resides in southern CA.

Ray Miller Band provides sound reinforcement for small thru-medium sized venues. Larger venues may require additional sound reinforcement which will be reflected in the quote provided.
