Derek performed at a recent function I attended and I was blown away! The last thing I expected to see was a multi-talented musician and vocalist who quite honestly should be on The Voice or America's Got Talent or something. On top of that, he went out of his way to perform requests that ranged from Brian McKnight to Taylor Swift - and our audience who consisted of a wide range of demographics, were all widely and equally impressed. I'm looking to hire him for an upcoming function, will be in touch soon Derek! Well done tonight.

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a birthday celebration featuring the incredible solo acoustic and piano performer, Derek. With a seamless mix of pop, R&B, and funky acoustic covers, along with some captivating original songs, the atmosphere was well suited for the event and audience.

Derek's vocal range was amazing. He effortlessly transitioned between soft, soulful ballads, upbeat catchy pop songs and original songs with soaring melodies. Most impressive was the original songs that Derek performed. The audience could hear the direct influences of songs and artists from his cover set lists while enjoying his personal musical style and the unique direction of his song writing. He delivered all songs, covers and originals, with a passion and skill that drew audience in throughout the night.

The instrumentation was equally engaging. The combination of acoustic guitar and piano created a rich, warm sound that perfectly complemented his style. Whether it was a smooth R&B groove or a funky pop anthem, each arrangement felt fresh and unique.

Derek's ability to connect with the audience was top notch. He shared stories behind his songs, inviting us into his world and making us feel part of the celebration. It was a night filled with laughter, nostalgia, and a genuine appreciation for music.

DEREK is a true creative with amazing technical skill and the ability to bring out the emotion of any song with professional vocals, guitar and piano playing. His shows are exciting and always a blast! He can play and sing anything handed to him with ease and writes his own music, too. I love his energy in performing!
