We first met Rebel Sky at a Farmer's Market where she painted my daughters face. She was very friendly and sweet with my girl. Every time my daughter would see her at the market she would want to visit her again and get a painting. We were very excited to learn that Rebel Sky does parties! We have used her for multiple parties and is always a guest favorite. Her talent is amazing and she does a wide variety of designs. Not to mention she is GREAT with the children. She will offer designs to cater to your party theme. We recently had Rebel Sky do Ballon Art at my daughter's birthday party. Even the smaller pieces added a huge impact to the party atmosphere. I recommended her to a friend and my friend was VERY impressed with the overall experience as well. She is friendly, professional, talented! I am always impressed with Rebel Sky Studios. She always goes above and beyond expectation!

When you book for face painting, I paint for a full hour when you book an hour (additional set-up and take down-time is included). I bring either a list or a board of painting options to choose from, depending on the number of participants anticipated. For balloon decor, I generally create the pieces onsite and place as directed in your contract. Placement changes can be made but changes to design need a minimum of two weeks notice.
Hello! My name is Schannelle and I am the owner/operator of Rebel Sky Studios. I transplanted to Utah in '04 from sunny Southern California and currently reside in Payson with my son. I have been painting professionally since 1999, and entered the world of face/body painting and balloon decor in 2010. Since then, I have been trained by some of the biggest names in the biz and bring these skills to make your event one to remember. I keep myself current on painting and decor trends by taking classes and attending conventions several times a year. I want my clients to have the very best!
When I do face painting, I bring either a list or board of designs to show what I am offering that day, as the circumstances and occasion may call for specific requirements (larger events need to get a lot of people through the line quickly, so a list of quick designs is generally available along with the option for special requests). I bring my own equipment including a table and tall chair for my patrons to sit in while I paint (I choose to paint standing, because sitting doesn't help one's back when you're 5'9), tablecloth, canopy-as needed, and all painting supplies. I will not paint with client-provided paints or supplies. There is a reason I'm good at what I do. I choose quality products to work with and have learned to maximize their benefits. I will not compromise on this. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT use acrylic, tempura and other "non-toxic paints" that do not specifically state that they are for use on skin. I use high quality theater make-up paint from well-known and respected companies with a proven track record of safety. I like to arrive at least 15 minutes early to start my set-up before the event begins and leave an additional 15 minutes to clean-up when I am finished. So, when a client books me for an hour, they will actually be getting me for an hour and a half.
When booking me for balloon decor, I like to have an initial consultation either through email or phone, to decide what the focal points of the event are. This gives me an idea of how to maximize your decorating budget and what kind of equipment and time restraints I'll be working with. Each event is different, so understanding your needs is my first priority. I will most likely ask for the venue and either do a personal walk-through with the client, or research the building myself to be sure that the decor will work with the building and not interfere with any other services (catering tables, dj, wait staff, fire codes, etc). I pride myself on having great attention to details.
For all services, I require a 50% deposit due no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. This is a non-refundable retainer which allows me to purchase supplies, hire assistants, and do research as needed. Without this deposit, the event is not considered to be booked and your time slot could be given to another client. I do, however, have a flexible cancelation policy that allows for rescheduling if at all possible. I make every effort to be accommodating and understand that, sometimes, things happen.
I am equipped with a table and chair, so nothing is needed from you but a small 8x8 foot space to work from. I also have a 10x10 canopy for outdoor events where shade cannot be provided.
