Hello, I am Thomas R Wilson of R&H Creative Advocacy and Storytelling. To share a bit about myself, I am a professional Writer, Advocate, Storyteller, and Speaker with solid expertise in Shared Storytelling. This expertise spans over ten years of study, professional experience, leading and attending events, and being a part of dozens of communities centered on sustaining shared storytelling through empathy and compassion-based care.
Currently, R&H Creative Advocacy and Storytelling partners with multiple Businesses across Colorado, including Angels Service LLC, Tabula Sono, Autism Minds Co, APSE, COEF Speakers Bureau, Dirt Coffee, and more. My work is also partnered with Adults With High Functioning Autism of Colorado, one of the most significant and fastest-growing Meet Up groups focusing on Autism in Colorado. These Businesses have benefited from my expertise in shared storytelling and creating impactful yet creative content that reaches their audiences.
R&H Creative Advocacy has also focused on writing literature that advocates for those in marginalized communities and inspires others to share their stories. These include our works like Glimmer of a Soul, a book of poetry discussing Mental Health, and Reverie of the Lost Notes, a deep dive into loss and redemption.
I have Spoken at Conventions Across Colorado, like Denver Fan Expo, APSE's Annual Conference, Colorado Anime Fest, Tacticon Colorado, and Ghengis Con 2023.
If chosen to speak at your conference, I will bring an experience that will impress and endure. I am open to working with groups that need presenters for various events.
I run a storytelling business called R&H Creative Advocacy and Storytelling. We run Sensory Friendly Events for the Neuro Divergent, Mental Health, and other communities focusing on person-first and empathic facilitation. I have loved your location and commitment to the community for years! I could see a great working relationship being developed between our two businesses.
A bit more about what I do
Neuro Diversity D&D: This group is designed to help with peer-to-peer engagement that builds up our community and is entirely intended to uplift and build communities to share their voice.
Public Speaking: As someone with lived experience with growing up as an individual with mental illness and neurodiversity, I have crafted sharing my story with our communities to help advocate for my community and share the power so many in our communities demonstrate. I have several upcoming events where I am speaking about Neuro Diversity and How creative elements can help, as well as several forthcoming Mental Health Events. One, in particular, is the event "Finding Meaning After Experiencing Loss," where I will tell stories based on my life for several ages with different techniques.
Storytelling Events: I craft stories designed for individuals of all ages that are both sensory-friendly and tell unique and original stories.
Charity events: I actively seek to partner with charities to benefit underserved communities and help agencies get funding. In these events, I run stories that connect with various ages through Dungeons and Dragons, Interactive Storytelling, and Narrative Videos, and I am working on Developing Classes on multiple platforms.
Youth gaming events are sensory-friendly events designed to help youth with extra needs connect to peers and find community resources.
Considering: I help agencies and businesses build their following with underserved communities.
Youth Peer Engagement Events: These are designed to help foster active play between peers and help build strong community connections through friendships.
World Building Groups: I teach and mentor through World Building Groups designed to help develop creative thought processing and peer-to-peer relationships.
Author Events: I have attended various Author Events to help get community Members to connect to Authors in their community.
My work as Neuro Diversity Specialist and Storyteller comes from 11+ years as an event facilitator. My training also includes being a youth and young adult mentor for nearly nine years. I have been trained in HIPAA, CPR, Baseline Job Coaching (ACRE Certified), Mental Health First Aid, and as a Peer Specialist, among many others.
I currently work with many organizations across Colorado As a storyteller, partner, and educator. My work at events is to tell stories in a sensory-friendly manner that honors the needs of the kiddos attending and has a basis in empathy and person-first care.
I am also a Professional Public Speaker who works to Advocate for Mental Health and Neuro Diverse Communities while also educating businesses, community members, and individuals on my community's strengths.
I currently run several collaborative events each month while also speaking at conventions across Colorado, have talked at APSE State meetings, led youth events with multiple businesses, and am currently collaborating with a local charity to help show an event on " Finding Meaning after Experiencing Loss." I teach at Outschool, Skillshare, Udemy, and Khan Academy. My list of qualifications goes beyond these, but I want to keep them manageable.
