I hired Richard to play my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Richard was accessible and very helpful in finalizing the songs my husband and I wanted for our ceremony. He took the time to learn then and even played samples over the phone and was open to any adjustments to the arrangements. Everyone loved the music and he added such a special touch to our ceremony. Additionally, Richard was timely, professional, and played beautifully. He even took the time to come to our rehearsal the day before to make sure the music was timed correctly for the ceremony, which was really going above and beyond! I definitely recommend hiring Richard for your event!!!

With only one rehearsal and then mixed signals is speed and volume; Richard was readily adaptable.

Richard played piano for a surprise 10Y anniversary party I threw for my wife in Stamford, CT. He was easy to work with, reasonably priced for a great value, and showed up on time and dressed the part for such an occasion. He knew just what to play as the party flowed and everybody had a wonderful time. Would absolutely recommend Richard for any event big or small to add class to your gathering of loved ones.

He played for the cocktail hour at our wedding, and our guests are still raving about how much they loved his musical selections, kind demeanor, and overall talent. Mr. Devens came to play at our Friday afternoon party for the day after my son’s wedding celebration. He is professional, polite, independent and an excellent pianist. He provided us with background music on my piano making our party more festive.

What do you get a 95 year old man, who lost his sight 65 years ago for his birthday? A piano player! The crowd enjoyed Richard’s playing....he was prepared with the genres I had requested and fielded requests from the crowd with ease. Arrived on time and was not looking at his watch to leave. I would recommend and hire again! I booked Richard only two days before the party and had no regrets!

Richard was a pleasure to work with and highly recommend his services. He showed up early to the event and played the requested songs beautifully. He was sweet and kind which set my nerves at ease (I was the nervous bride). It seems that his repertoire is vast as he played a requested modern song, that was from the sound track to a recent movie as well as classical music. Overall a job well done!

Great pianist! Professional, good technically, and with a wide repertoire. Only subtracting a star because he wasn't as "personable" as I would have preferred. I put alot into it (as can be seen from the pics) and was hoping to get alot out of it. Richard did not disappoint!
