With a diverse industry background in domestic and global markets, I'm an organizational leader with over 20 years of executive leadership experience in family run businesses, SMBs, Digital Start-up, and top-tier digital global consulting firms. Over this time I've developed a proven knack to drive business growth through understanding how to move business forward where motivation and inspiration become the competitive edge. Whether it’s the companies I've owned or transformed, I've developed a way that creates high levels of engagement; I implement this engine of growth through the spirit of a startup, the practices and disciplines of general management, and three key principles from surfing to help create highly functioning teams. After a brief stint as an English Literature teacher, I transitioned to business where I became absolutely fascinated with how leaders engage their teams. I struggled with how to transfer – or even if I can I transfer – the more soft skills of teaching over to the very hard world of business, profits, and P&L. However, after 20 years in executive leadership roles across companies and industries, domestically and globally I quickly realized the historic model of engagement with typical incentives wasn't working. Motivation by mere incentive alone is clearly short lived. I've been able to translate what I learned as a teacher and years of experience in executive roles into a model and framework of motivation and inspiration that drives results in businesses and teams.

A few extra bits: I'm a published author (Leadership and the Art of Surfing) and adjunct professor in Organizational Development and Theory. I've competed in over 50 triathlons, 2 marathons, 10 half marathons, 10 centuries, a Kona Ironman Qualifier, and is a proud husband and father.
