Ricky did an amazing job at my birthday celebration at my house. He arrived on time and played on my 100 year old baby grand. The music sounded beautiful! He was well dressed and polite. Ricky performed at a celebration of life event for my father in law held at our golf club. For this event, we opted to not have him sing, just play piano, and he was amazing! We really weren't sure how the event would go--a celebration for someone who just recently passed--we knew there would be tears and laughs. Ricky read the room and did a fantastic job with all of the favorites (Sinatra, Bennett, Fitzgerald) and with perfect timing between people speaking, prayers, etc. He even accompanied a family member who got up impromptu and sang a few songs He was responsive to all communication and a complete professional. We would definitely have him at our next event.

Ricky was so easy to work with. I hired him to play for an Elementary Christmas Lessons and Carols service. I required someone who could have music underscoring the students as they narrated the Christmas story and then to accompany the Carols that they sang. He jumped in and was willing to take suggestions and changes with a smile. I would recommend him for any type of event 110%. Our program was magical and he played a HUGE part in making that happen.

The day that Ricky came to play with us it was pouring rain all day and the weather was terrible. But sure enough Ricky confirmed we were still on, showed up on time, and entertained our crowd. A great variety of music that kept kids all the way to older adults tapping their feet and bopping their heads. I event had to tell him that we were done! He just kept playing away. We look forward to working with Ricky again in the future.

About
Ricky is a professionally and academically trained musician who started his career as a performer in 2018. Since then he has sung in multiple groups including singing ensembles in church, Dallas Baptist University, his Alma Mater, and other community groups. He has also performed in restaurants, bars, weddings, funerals, fundraisers, birthdays, and personal gatherings.
If there are two words that describe Ricky, they would be professional and flexible. He is able to adapt to multiple genres and is easy to work with. Ricky always puts the client first.
Secondly, he is also an affordable option. While most freelance musicians charge up to 200 or 300 dollars an hour as a hard rate, Ricky starts at a reduced rate and doesn't sacrifice the quality of the performance for it.
He is currently employed as Minister of Music at Judea Baptist Church and a local choir director in Garland ISD. He has a diversity of skills.
