Biography
The Hip-Hop recording artist, songwriter, and producer, that is now known as Rico Muse, started writing poetry and lyrics at the age of four. Poetry was a means of escape and introspection for him. His experiences expressing themselves through words that painted vivid pictures. No one knew that the passion he had for art would manifest itself with words and metaphors, leading him to a destiny as an artist. Growing up without his father, Rico Muse was raised by his mother with his two sisters. This motivated the artist early on in life to try to always find some kinds of pathway to better him-self. Music, acting and entertainment became his driving force.
After doing a couple of talent shows, including a performance at the Toronto Harbourfront festival, in his early teens he won first prize in a poetry contest at his high school. Rico Muse continued on his path of words, lyrics and music. The death of a close friend would launch him into the writing and production of his first recording project. That would result in him working with one of Canada’s most celebrated Juno winning singer, Liberty Silvers on the Rico Muse written and produced song "This is a letter". He also has written, and arranged, co-mixed and produced songs such as "I want know" a song for 2015 R&B independent Canadian award winner Dee Bronte. Since Rico Muse parents are of Haitian background, he was honoured to write and perform a heartfelt poem about the Haitian earthquake at a gala event fundraising for Haiti in Toronto. Rico Muse is not just a musical talent but also an actor haven taken acting classes at a young age at the university of Quebec in Montreal. He has been on several film productions including a 1000 men named George, Convicted, and other productions including a Mario Brothers commercial. Rico Muse is also trilingual, speaking English, French and Creole fluently and has utilized those skills for voiceover work.
Currently Rico Muse is busy with the launch work on his first project called ‘’Can’t stop the dream”. His first release and video will be the song ”Addicted to Success” from ”Can’t stop the dream” EP a self produced project to be available on iTunes and everywhere in 2015. Rico Muse will also do a couple music videos for his project ‘’Can’t stop the dream’’. Rico Muse is more than ready to take the entertainment world by storm because as his first EP title says Rico Muse Can’t Stop the Dream. The year 2016 promises to be in even bigger year as Rico Muse is poised to release his banging music video and single ‘’Head Doctor’’ produced, written and produced by Rico Muse and co-produced by Juno award winning engineer Jeff "the man" Mcculloh his long time engineer and production partner.
