Robert Garbarz is a violinist from Apex, NC. He has degrees in Violin Performance from UNC-Greensboro (M.M.), and UNC- Chapel Hill (B.M.), and has studied with Fabian Lopez, Nicholas DiEugenio, and Richard Luby. Robert has played with several ensembles in the Triangle area, and currently plays with the Fayetteville Symphony and the MARS String Quartet. He also performs regularly on the baroque violin, and has attended the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin Conservatory several times. In addition, he has experience as a conductor, studying with Tonu Kalam and conducting the Raleigh Festival Orchestra for two summers. Robert enjoys teaching, and was an instructor with the Community Arts Collaborative at UNCG, in addition to teaching privately.
