I threw a 30th birthday party and wanted some saxophone live music playing in the background while my guest and I socialized and celebrated and Robert delivered! All of my guest loved him and kept complimenting on how amazing it made the vibe. One thing that I truly respect about Robert is his professionalism. He was communicative from the very beginning, arrived early to set up and even stayed later! He was so kind and a great musician. He asked me what style of music I wanted, how loud I wanted it and everything. I have ZERO complaints. He also brought extra set up where he plays with a track and solo's live with the saxophone. Absolutely love it! I have definitely saved his contact information for a future event.

I knew thru emails, reviews and his bio that i was not only hiring a professional but a great guy in general. Very informative and attentive to detail made it easy to welcome him to my private 12 person Family Dinner party. Robert was well prepared, the music selection was great. He plays multiple instruments and for our event he brought a keyboard and saxophone. Many of our guest commented on how much they enjoyed his music. We will definitely use him again for any future events.

Robert. Is. Awesome. My wife and I asked him to be apart of our big day and we are happy we did! Robert's communication was exceptional. It did not matter the time of day, Robert would always get back to us about our questions. Many of the times I was the one who missed the email response late at night. Robert was always punctual. At both the rehearsal and wedding ceremony he was there, prepared and more than on time. Robert's list of music is huge. It took us a little bit to narrow our selection down but it was awesome to have the variety. He will also learn a song to include at your event. We will refer him to anyone who struggled like we did to find a great musician for the big day. Thank you again for the memories!

We booked Robert for our wedding reception on May 22, 2015. We were looking for a musician that could give us a "piano bar" type feel by interaction with our guests and taking requests. We were only hoping for a pianists and vocalist but got so much more with Robert! He volunteered to run the music during our ceremony and when the music that I had digitally provided him didn't work, he improvised and saved the day!! He volunteered to also play his acoustic guitar, which was awesome and right up our alley! He also even asked if we would like him to play his saxophone during the reception!! Robert Wagner is professional musician with a wide range of performance music. He played for my family and friends at a memorial service for my father. Everyone was very impressed with his singing and musical talent. I had many comments from people in attendance saying what a wonderful music performance for my father. I did not know Robert very well and had only heard him play once before but I feel that he is my friend now. Robert had great suggestions for music but was eager to play what I wanted. I told him I wanted a upbeat and fun wedding and he delivered. Music can greatly enhance a wedding and set the tone for the day.

I had a special birthday event planned and Robert was excellent in all areas ranging from the non-specific time (Robert showed up an hour before the event) to a relatively non-specific playing time (Robert was flexible on the number of songs) to the location (Robert was cognizant of the office space where he played and the other people who were working) to the song selection (he played all the songs we agreed upon and then threw in a few requests).

Robert played for our garden party Pig Roast Fund Raiser hosted by former Governor of Illinois Jim Thompson. It was a beautiful evening complimented by the great easy listening music provided by Robert. It was perfect and everyone loved it.

Robert graced our artist group, MySLart.org, with his mad licks during our opening reception for the show "33September" held at Old Orchard Gallery in Webster Groves. Robert's interpertation of classic folk/rock songs added to the artistic vibe we were setting. He was open to talk to people, had fun, laughed, and definitely added to the atmosphere. It would not have been the same without him. Robert is professional, timely, reliable, and just looks like a cool guy. Robert did a wonderful job. He went over and above planning for my son"s Wedding Reception. The venue was small and he blended right in. He has a very nice voice and plays very well.I would hire him again in a minutee.

Robert in coordination with TIP Hospice volunteered to play the cello at Anna House, our long term care community at The Sarah Community. I am not sure if Robert knew what he had signed up for but he good spiritedly went with it. Our ladies were having a fancy hat tea and Robert was a great sport - he agreed to wear a hat also - a manly hat of course! Robert's lovely cello tunes provided the perfect background music as the ladies sipped their tea - it was very soothing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Robert and I would love to repeat this event.

He promptly returned all emails/calls prior to the event, arrived early, and had prepared a beautiful music selection specially designed for the bride and groom. From the day I first emailed Robert, I knew our wedding ceremony was in good hands. Robert was the easiest wedding vendor I worked with; he responded very quickly to emails, made suggestions for songs, wrote songs especially for our wedding, sent us mp3s to listen to, and even mastered new songs (guitar & cello) that we wanted for our wedding! Not only that, but he was a great source of inspiration during the process with positive feedback on our song choices and period emails letting us know how excited he was to be a part of our day. Not to mention, his prices can't be beat! We hired Robert for pre-, ceremony, and post-ceremony singing guitar/cello pieces and he was amazing; he brought along his beautiful assistant (his wife) to help out. At no additional cost he allowed us to use his PA system/microphones for our pastor and readers. All of our guests raved about music and wanted to know how we found him. I definitely did not stress about the ceremony music, because I know he was going to do an exceptional job, and he did. I wish all wedding vendors were like Robert! I can't wait for the next event we need a singing guitarist, because I will definitely give Robert a call.

My experience with Robert was exceptional. Looking back on the party, I would say that hiring him was the best money that I spent out of everything. Robert was very professional. He allowed me to choose the song list, and also made some suggestions for things I hadn't heard before. Robert and I also did a duet where I sang a song that was meaningful to my family. It was quite a hit, and everyone loved it. Robert's relaxed nature made me feel comfortable through the whole evening, even though I was stressed about being a hostess. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great performer and a great guy.

Robert played at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Belleville as a volunteer for TIP Hospice. His music brought smiles to the faces of older people who have very little with the outside world, and are so appreciative of the folks who come and visit them.

Robert's music is outstanding, and I would recommed it to anyone!

I was a fellow performer at Clinton County Songwriter Showcase earlier this year and once last year. Both times Robert performed from the heart to the attentive crowd focused on every word and note. At each showcase I had the pleasure of performing either right before or after Robert. Mr. Wagener was very easy to talk to as well. The songs I heard are very true to the the singer/songwriter form and are put together nicely. I would recommend Robert to anyone interested in local original talent.

Robert did an excellent job of making sure we were going to have everything we wanted. He even took the time to learn new music for us & was always available to talk. He also arrived with extra time to prepare for the ceremony & did a wonderful job!

I heard Robert play at Borders Book Store on June 19, 2010. You can tell he has a love for music. The songs he played were original and were easy to listen to. The guitar playing was exceptional and he sounded great! Robert played many songs about families and Fathers which was especially appropriate due to Fathers Day being the next day. My favorite song was about his Fathers Hands. I would definitely go back to hear him again.

He was wonderful - great voice and musical talent. Very nice play list. We look forward to having him back at our venue.

Robert played the guitar and sang for my wedding and it was exactly what I wanted. He is so personable and from meeting and sharing many thoughts about the meeting and relationship my fiance and I share he composed several songs and chose one outstanding song "just for Pete and myself" and I was quite impressed. I felt a connection with Robert the first time I heard him play and he made me feel special on my special day. He takes the extra step and is so "in tune" to your feelings which is so nice. His rates are very reasonable and I can't say enough of how pleased I am to have met him. He is very talented and a wonderful song writer and guitarist/singer and he added so much to the day. If you hire him you will be so grateful and very pleased with his total gift of talent.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding ceremony/reception that Robert Wagener was performing, and I enjoyed him very much. He wrote a song for the the couple that brought tears to my eyes. I loved it. Would I hire him for a function? Most definitely......

I attended the Clinton County Showcase at the Avon Theater, enjoyed the live music, especially the 'folky' style of Robert, the love song about his fathers attempt to write a love song for his mother really pulled at my and my wife's heartstrings. Vocals were average but that may have been the room too, decent acoustics but only fair sound equipment.
