Success is a process, not an event! Rodgers Speaks provides speaking, training, and insights into topics related to education, personal growth, the growth mindset, and leadership. Mills Rodgers is a military veteran & former educator. Mills has an easy going, yet sincere & direct approach which helps him to be relatable to audiences of all ages & backgrounds. He is a true professional who believes in making everyone feel important and appreciated.
Mills spoke to our group of volunteer child advocates about the special education system. He did a wonderful job identifying and tailoring key points of his message to fit our audience.
Mills came to speak to our CIT's (17 year olds) and LIT's (16 year olds) at YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow this summer and he did a great job of understanding the different groups and engaged each group with his powerful words. Mills knows how to communicate to all audiences and ensuring they're engaged and leave feeling enlightened.
Mr. Rodgers is a very knowledgeable Instructor and has does an amazing job directing our Court Appointed Special Advocates on how to best advocate for their CASA children in an educational setting. His material was easy to understand and truly helped our CASA Volunteers understand the RTI and ARD process for children in Foster care.
Mills Rodgers is an awesome speaker! He encourages me on the daily with his short videos! He reminds me everyday to keep on pushing and quit on my dreams!
I worked with Mills Carnell Rodgers for four years at an inner-city urban high school with a high minority population. Mills always took on the toughest jobs and was a special education co-teacher for our Algebra One team. He was instrumental in improving our Algebra One scores by building positive relationships with our at-risk students and motivating them to set and achieve goals. Anyone attending any of his professional development sessions would gain invaluable knowledge!
I've known Mr. Rodgers for four years. He is a consistently excellent speaker who delivers a power message in a unique style. Whether he is speaking to a group of students or a room full of parents, he has the ability to connect with all audiences and engage them in the conversation. His background and years of experience in education provide great insight to parents who want to be more involved in their child's academics but are unsure on where to begin. When speaking to young people, Mr. Rodgers connects in a style that is unique and relevant to the interests of the students. His point is always clear and motivating, however, he implements a realistic message to the youth in regards to how education is crucial to their future and success.
I have followed Mills Rodgers on his blog and throughout his career and find him to be knowledgeable, professional, and well spoken. I highly recommend using Mills for your event as he is an excellent speaker, funny, informative, and a wealth of knowledge.
As an educator I am impressed with the advice he has given me as I go to him often for help with my students, my career, and educational questions in general.
I have followed this speaker's blog and was hoping to see him speak in person. He engages his audience and really delivers a powerful message. His background really reflects his passion and desire to make everyone he encounters a GREATER individual. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. Being an educator, I felt more enthusiastic about the upcoming year. The price was not bad either. I will be seeing him again next year.

Mr. Rogers has an easy flow delivery to deep subjects for adults and teens to integrate into their task of becoming a successful human being. In the computer age, we need speakers who are warm, compassionate, realistic and transparent. The man, Mills Rogers, is that person. We have lost something in this society: common sense, good values and just being polite. Mr. Rogers can guide his listeners through the diffukt side of education today, whether it is children with special needs, at risk, or just the students who are still searching. I commend him to any school or group that can learn from his expertise.

Hello Everyone! Thank your interest. First off, I would like to share some information about myself. I am originally from Ville Platte, LA, having attended high school and college in the bayou state. I am currently an educator and speaker in San Antonio, TX, having worked in underserved communities throughout my career. Some of the positions I have held include special education teacher, general education science teacher, science instructional coach, academic instructional coach, administrative intern, and substitute assistant principal. I also served in the US Army as a mental health specialist which, in civilian lingo, is a counselor. Lastly, I am a parent to my oldest daughter, who has been diagnosed with moderate to severe autism. I can honestly say that parenting a child with special needs has so many “behind the scenes” challenges that many people, including educators, overlook.
I am the founder of Rodgers Speaks!, which is the name of my speaking/training business. I have written a book titled Success Is A Process, Not An Event: 7 Keys to Understanding & Mastering The Process. It is a quick read based on the principles of taking initiative, leadership, resilience, understanding and overcoming obstacles, and growth mindset. I base my motivational and coaching presentations on my book. My motivational presentations are targeted towards schools of all levels (grade schools & colleges). In my presentations, I believe in being interactive and having fun. I like to encourage interactiveness by going into the audience to ask questions, use of technology, and giving away prizes. Who really wants to hear someone ramble on for an hour so? Exactly!
I have also conducted staff development on topics such as special education & classroom management. I’ve had the opportunity to inform people about the challenges that parents of special needs children incur. I have also spoken on motivation and growth mindset to youth and adults. Some of the organizations I have partnered with include Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA), SAMMinistries, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Central TX, and the Y. I also am part of the leadership of the Power Scholars Academy, a highly acclaimed & academically rigorous summer program designed to prevent summer learning loss in at-risk students.
