Rod was an extremely talented musician and I was very happy to have him at our event. Rod performed over and above our expectations. We had provided very little in the way of specifics of our needs for a latin Mass wedding. Rod waa so flexible and acommadating of last minute changes and music needs. A true skilled professional and reacted so calmly and assuradly to last minute requirements. Its like he magically produced the needed music at the last minute. I can't praise him enough.

Rod was flexible, able to play several different arrangements for a wedding while moving between piano and organ. In addition to being talented, he was very friendly and approachable. His sense of humor made the planning process stress free and enjoyable.

We had an intimate wedding at the Stonegate Glass Chapel, which Rod played cello for. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice to hire him! The booking process was very easy and Rod was very helpful with suggestions for song placement during our ceremony. His playing was beautiful and the perfect touch to our intimate ceremony. We had the pleasure of visiting with him while we were there and he was very kind and pleasant. We would definitely request his services again in the future if an occasion calls for it.

Hired Rod to play some Bavarian music with his accordion while we played some German food, games and had a beer garden. One game was a wiener toss and every time the wiener was tossed and caught, he would play his accordion during the throw of the wiener and got real loud as it was caught. It was hilarious. I didn't ask him to do that, he did it on his own. He got the crowd to participate in the chicken dance and a few other songs. The crowd loved him. I definitely recommend him. He said he plays 10 different instruments and was available for hire for any themed party.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Phillips. His performance at our reception is one of our top highlights from the day. My husband and I are both music-obsessed, been around the world seeing musicians of all kinds and calibers. YET--we had never seen anyone play the piano AND guitar AND sing at the same time like Mr. Phillips. Rod coincidentally has played with an artist we love, and gave a momentous rendition of one of our favorite songs during dinner, doing the masterpiece all the justice it deserves. He played both the piano and the harp for our outdoor November nighttime ceremony. He was able to play every request I had, and for the times I didn't know what to select, he had fantastic recommendations that all our guests loved. I requested Last Date, as it is my grandparents wedding song, and it nearly brought tears to our families eyes! He created a perfect atmosphere for our ceremony, and we could not have asked for a better musician. He is so easy to work with, and so knowledgeable.

Rod worked with us and the wedding venue, provided great advice, and made it possible for us to bring our vision to life. I can't provide enough praise or thanks. The cello playing was beautiful. Do not hesitate to book him.

Rod was super easy to work with and very professional. He worked well with the vocalist to prepare. The music was lovely! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because there was a small glitch during the ceremony which delayed beginning a song for a long pause- a bit awkward, but all ended well! I would definitely engage rod again.

Rod was great to work with- start to finish. He brought a musical blessing to our wedding day. Not only is he very talented in bringing a multitude of instruments to life, his personality and character are a wonder full contribution! Rod did a great job playing the organ for our son's wedding; he showed up early and then played faithfully for the prelude though our guests arrived a bit late and then played beautifully all the way through the ceremony when needed. Thank you, Rod!

Rod was so flexible and such a great communicator! He waiting out a rainstorm just so he could play for our outdoor wedding ceremony. All the guests were in such awe by seeing a harpist. Most of the guys really liked talking to him and would spit off a random song and he usually knew how to play it!

Rod, did a wonderful job playing several musical instruments, such as but not limited to the: guitar, harp, keyboard, mandolin & accordion as well as singing. He was sensitive to the crowd and seranaded us with the harp while folks were eating and he was able to read the audience well and play and sing music very beautifully that we all knew and could enjoy. He even learned a new song (just for us) and sang our favorite song in Italian! He has a gentle spirit and great humor which is hard to find these days. Thanks for making our party a success. Rod played accordion for our Rotary GOLF'toberfest event. He was easy to work with, on -time, great musician and we were very pleased with his professional service and talent.

Not only was Rod's music absolutely beautiful he was such a gracious and understanding person. We thoroughly enjoyed having him here to entertain and to accompany the others singing. He is very proficient in many instruments and has a beautiful voice, making him a very well rounded musician He was well worth the money spent.

I have seen Rod perform in a few different venues over the years, and I had him do most of the music in my wedding. He is incredibly talented, extremely professional, and a lot of fun! He has a keen ability to interact with the audience very personably, but he is also a commanding presence in more formal situations such as wedding ceremonies. I have only heard great reviews about his performances with no negatives. I saw his Veteran's Day tribute where he played 13 instruments in just a few minutes--amazing!!
I would very highly recommend Rod when any type of live musical performance is needed.

Rod entertains about 12 times a year for groups that I host. These are groups that come to Branson to learn about the show business there and Rod is one of our presenters. He is extremely well-received and very, very talented. He is very engaging and communicates well with the audience. We have had him for several years and have no plan to discontinue his presentation with us.

Rod Phillips is a consummate entertainer that always connects with his audience regardless of age and regardless of musical preference. I've observed Rod in various settings over a period of 20 years from 1000 seat theaters to house concerts and everything in between. I've never seen him have an "off" performance or known of an audience that left unhappy. He can beautifully perform jazz, bluegrass, broadway, folk, gospel and country. He's considerate and easy to get along with. If you are looking for a crowd pleaser solo act, you need Rod Phillips.
